anorak 19th Apr 2023		12" Single Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight (Extended Version)	these three items from 1988 should not be considered "linked Releases" to the original GERMAN 12" from 1981. the 1988 version is an extended version not issued before.They are totally separate even though Virgin has chosen to use the original UK cat no, albeit differenced by the letter "T".

anorak 21st Mar 2018		12" Single The Three Degrees - Jump The Gun (Long Version)	got this DISCO THUMPER @ home on a memory stick. Not sure if it's this "Long Version" or a strictly "PROMOTIONAL" mix but it sounds THE BUSINESS!!!. (my neighbours might not be so keen!).

anorak 15th May 2017		12" Single The Jacksons - Blame It On The Boogie	AT LAST!. I knew it must (?) exist but this is the FIRST time i have seen the 12" label for this.I now note that this 12" simply used the 7" version and THAT would be why they thaught it necessary to make an extended mix by John Luongo to be used as a BONUS on the Destiny 12".Before finding this i always thaught that this 12" would have carried the Luongo mix and that Epic had simply released it again on Destiny 12" as a cheap promotional gimmick!.Record labels...engaging in cheap, promotional gimmicks????, perish the thaught!. WHAT a CRAP sleeve for a disco CLASSIC?.
anorak 16th Jan 2017		12" Single Chic - Good Times	For one of the greatest singles in dance music i think we can ALL agree that this looks absolutely NAFF.It just looks garbage,why did the record company bother to produce something so dull and empty. It looks like some bootleg from a south American flea market.You only have to google image Chic and a hugh number of "funky" "groovy" photo's are to be found.I am literally,sitting here open mouthed at the CRAPOLA of this item!.

anorak 18th Dec 2013		12" Single Level 42 - Hot Water (Extended Version)	7" was three minute bore-a-thon.This 10 min. mastermix is exactly RIGHT!,a massive improvement....but sadly a crap sleeve indicating polydor had little faith in it's chart chances.Excellent "B" too.
anorak 18th Dec 2013		12" Single Fleetwood Mac - Big Love (Extended Version)	OH my children,if EVER trash can be extracted from triumph then the Mac proved it here!. One of their strongest singles in YEARS and they destroy it on a bandwagon jumping "house" mix.I am all FOR extended 12" singles but it MUST be done right,preferably by the same producer /mixer of the 7".Other disaster that ='s this is Da Ya Think i'm Sexy?.I wish that RS and his merry men had done their own 12" mix as they would have got it right,there was no need to bring in a flash outside name to remix it.
anorak 18th Dec 2013		12" Single Gary Numan - She's Got Claws	Will always remain a mystery as to why he never extended this track for 12". 1981 was THE year for 12" club mixes ala Duran,Spandau etc and when you consider that this track was from a project called "Dance" and that his next THREE 12" singles were all considerably extended you wonder what went awry on this one....THAT BASS LINE at the end could have gone on for ever........!
anorak 18th Dec 2013		12" Single Rod Stewart - Passion	Far superior version to 7" and,as far as i know,only on the cassette of "Foolish..",WEA trying to push that format in late 1980.LOVE the bass drum beats under "no messin'around, shout out loud".

anorak 18th Dec 2013		12" Single Andy Gibb - (Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away	apparently just a re-edit,I.E. just repeating parts to create a "fake" extended version. I hate it when they mislead like that.Lovely looking item though and beatiful "A" side.
