MoreFloyd 16th May 2018		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Capitol's Country Festival	My copy of the "Queen" album "Jazz" - https://www.45worlds.com/vinyl/album/ema788xx - left me with the same predicament (which country does it originate from). In the end I decided on the "International" tag, but I'm still not sure if this is right.

MoreFloyd 27th Mar 2018		CD Album AC/DC - Flick Of The Switch	This is possibly a 1987 release at the very earliest. This particular CD is listed on discogs as a 1987 release and "http://www.ac-dc.net" lists it as a November 1988 release. The first ever AC/DC CD appeared in 1985, being pressed in Japan for the Australian market. There are a number of pre 1987 U.S. CD releases for AC/DC on 45worlds that need more accurate dating.

MoreFloyd 5th Feb 2018		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Metal Meltdown	Hi Whassup Found this "Concept Records" clone on Discogs https://www.discogs.com/Various-Thrashed-Metal/release/5893293 Check out the matrices. According to Thomas Balacco's Vinyl Record Guide the "Concept Records" version was released in 1991. Maybe Concept bought out Hit Bound Records? Anyhow, I would say late '87 to '88. Poison's "Talk Dirty To Me" was released February '87.

This entry appears to be the same album as Bgray1's earlier 1985 entry https://www.45worlds.com/cdalbum/cd/ck32847 (same cat# and barcode). The only difference I can see is Sony's stamping code "DIDP-070134 5". Should these two be merged?

MoreFloyd 3rd Dec 2017		CD Album Anthrax - Attack Of The Killer B's	Hi Lee. I must say I find the country of origin for cd's a bit tricky. I also had a look through Discogs listings for this release prior to adding this cd. In the end I went with "International" because of the similarity to the versions you mentioned above. I suspect the two "add on" numbers of the Canadian barcode may refer to the year of manufacture only (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barcode). As it happens I bought this cd at the start of 2001 to replace a rather worn out cassette! My gut feeling is that this cd does meet with "Dr Doom's" guidelines for an "International" listing. Having said that, I'm more than happy to see it changed to an Australian release.

MoreFloyd 8th Nov 2017		Vinyl Album The Saints - Prodigal Son	This album was released in the same year (as best as I can tell), from the same country, same label and Cat# No. as (https://www.45worlds.com/vinyl/album/l38890). Yet, over half the tracks have been remixed (by veteran Australian record producer / engineer Mark Opitz), two songs were dropped and another two different songs added! This makes for a very different album to the one released earlier in the year. Should the pressing number be added to the Cat# No. to differentiate the two releases? Funnily they retained the same lyric insert for this album even though two of the songs were no longer there.

A cursory glance through Discogs listings for EMI releases EMC 16???? and or barcodes suggests that this album most likely was released 1982-83. Kate Bush's album The Dreaming is listed as being released in 1982 with cat# 16 4589 1 and Barcode: 5 099916 458918. Do any of our more learned contributors have any idea as to a definitive date?
