He was the original owner, (1940's). I can't explain why two of them are Victors, and the rest are RCA / Victor. But, all the #'s seem to flow in proper sequence, and they all have the P-148 album # on them. (another thing to research)

Then, I realized that there was a significant difference between the two, where mine had no artist credits on the label. This is strange. Originally, I just wanted to add the reverse of the album cover and the record sleeve photos that the other member didn't have with his/her label pics. I am sorry if anyone thinks I "horned in" on his/her work, because I now find that both submissions are now merged.

Without their info, I have no dating info at all. What would you have me do ? Would you prefer that I then not enter any date info at all, then wait for a moderator to enter it for me ? This I can do, if it would be more preferable. Or, I could use my date info on the "notes" column only. ;-) Drop me a message to inform me.
vocalion red 23rd Apr 2016		78 RPM Jan Garber - The Funny Old Hills / I Cried For You	Dear slholzer, all I can report concerning records I submit here, is either what I read on both sides of the labeling, and/or, what I can glean from sites like the Online Disco.Project. I am a novice at this kind of research. Some here at this site are far better than me at this. So, what I reported at my initial submission of this disc was how I saw it from both sources. I can attest to the fact that Mildred is in fact, singing on the B side. (Mp3 files for anything you see that I submit is available upon request, if in fact I ever recorded it, and I don't record absolutely every disc I have, but just send me a request, and an e-mail address, if I got it, I'll send it, and I know I have this one.) Btw, any advanced Victor collector would know, (for an example), that on Victor # 17677, the A side should be "The Original Fox Trot" by the Van Eps Trio, and the B side should be "That Moaning Saxophone Rag" by Six Brown Brothers, right ? What would you think if you had a disc that had on side A, "The Original Fox Trot" and on side B...."Wailana Waltz" (Drowsy Waters) by Pale K. Lua and David Kaili , with a different catalog # 17767 ? I know what the Library Of Congress said to me. That it was most likely a mis-pressing and/or a mis-labeling. I have never recorded both sides of this particular disc. But one day I will, and know for sure. I know what everything should sound like. I was thinking to submit THIS disc here, but any possible controversy stopped me from doing so. At least for now. :-) Oh, yeah , I strongly suspected that Jan was a him, all along, and if you wish to inform Mr. Settlemeier about this variant, you have my permission to do so. All the information you need is already at 45 Worlds.

My question is : There is a place in 45 Worlds for 33 rpm albums. I see no catagory for 78 rpm albums here. What/where is the proper place/way, to display them at the site ?

They are not marked A or B anywhere. I think the only thing that comes close to an official side marking is the tiny numbers on the lower right side of the label.

I had entered one of my Grey Gulls to the site, and it is marked "Lateral" on the label. It is titled "Sweet and Low" on side A, by the Harmoniser Quartette.

If any out there have better info about a release date, please make a correction. btw...The name Compo, sounds familiar. Didn't Starr-Gennett come from Ontario ? I think Decca had a branch in Canada too. I'll have to check on this because that name Compo, I know I saw it on something before. I'll have to check my Deccas. I'll post a new record with Compo as a stamper if/when I find it.

vocalion red 12th Apr 2016		78 RPM Woody Herman - Swing Music Series No. 23 & 24	The amazing thing about this record is, I bought a record from e-bay once, and it arrived sandwiched by this record and 3 other such Swing Series records, two records to each side of the record I bought, as packing protection. Only 2 of the Swing Series out of 4 survived the shipping trip. When played, this disc and the other one, by Herman, sound great. The other two were reduced to shards. :-(
