slholzer 18th Jan 2015		This disc exists in a version with the Sentimentalists re-named as the Four Tunes. I think it is a later version. I seem to recall there being some conflict with Tommy Dorsey over the use of the Sentimentalists name. Savannah Churchill was a very effective vocalist who deserved better success. Possibly these sides would have hit bigger if Tommy Dorsey hadn't been involved. She shows a smoothness the equal of any big band vocalist of the time and ought to have been able to make the jump to a successful solo career alongside Sarah Vaughan and Lena Horne. The romantic appeal of these two sides is undeniable.



Excello-2101 SUBS 15th Apr 2014		"B" side entered BB charts in May, 1947, peaking at #21.
