 Now I've actually managed to run across the black & silver label variant myself; have uploaded scans and moved them up because I think they are the earlier variant, whereas the red label is a later repress.

 For those who are keeping score, this was at least the sixth label design issued by Modern Music. This was the third incarnation of this particular design, which also saw the light of day in a blue version with silver letters and details and in a silver version with red letters and details. If you really knew your stuff, you could probably take a good stab at identifying when a copy of any given Modern Music record was pressed based on the label it bears.
