There is no ens(vcls) on "Brand New Baby".
"Hey! Las Bas Boogie" was issued on LP and probably on most if not all later releases as "Hey! Las Bas".

"Hey! Las Bas Boogie" was a local seller and didn't hit the national R&B-charts.

Producer: Dave Bartholomew

Note: This is the famous Dave Bartholomew Orchestra!

About "Hey Las Bas":
Dave Bartholomew is credited as the main songwriter, but he changed the lyrics of an original Creole song, and put a more rocking beat behind it.

The original song was first recorded by The Creole Stompers in 1944, but it was Kid Ory who had the first "hit" with the song as "Eh Las Bas" in 1946.
BTW: Harrison Verrett played in that band, but not on that record.
