jason cosmo non-trilogy #1:
allegedly humorous fantasy (yr hmbl srppnt. has not read these,
and received no feedback from anyone who bought them in IMT):
dan mcgirt's written the three published in mmpb (and in the uk
in pan p/bs) were intended to be the start of an ongoing series,
but a change of policy at new american library suddenly led to
this (amongst other publishing commitments) being abandoned;
he has since begun to self-publish substantially revised versions:


#1: ''jason cosmo'' (1989) (this novel)
(rewritten as ''hero wanted'' (2009), q.v., with different sequel plus ''internal sequel'' e-story set during #1)
#2: ''royal chaos'' (1990), q.v.
(rewritten as "royal crush" (2015) (e-book only, at least so far; now #3, following new #2 "noble cause" (2010) (e-book only, at least so far))
#3: ''dirty work'' (1993), q.v.
((comprehensively rewritten, and diverging even further,) new #4: "dirty deeds" (20??)(e-book yet?)
