23skidoo 7th Aug 2024		Book Various Authors - The Story Of Evangelina Cisneros (1898)	Considering how newspapers worked in these days, along with Hearst "stage-crafting" a lot of this in order to sell papers (though the events are not disputed), odds are good that Cisnero's portion of the book were likely written by one of his professionals (if not Decker himself). I haven't tracked down if anyone else other than Cisnero has been identified as the writer.

(2019)	At first I thought this was a parody or spoof like some of the recent adult-oriented Ladybird Books, or even a post-modern one aimed at adults like Little Golden Books has done a couple of (i.e. adapting The Office), but this appears to be a legit kid's book.

This book is not viable without the illustrations as it is a visual puzzle book, making Blackman a co-author. I just submitted a Star Wars book for children where the illustrations are also key (though less to understanding the book as Blackman's are to this one) as I was instructed to do so if the illustrations are a key part of the book.

23skidoo 28th Jul 2024		Book James Savage - Girl In A Jam (1960)	Is the US printed listed a 2nd printing? If not, it should be corrected to a 1959 date to conform with the Canadian printing. I tried to find out if James Savage is a pen name (sounds like it could be) but could not locate confirmation so if anyone has those details, please feel free to submit an author correction.

23skidoo 9th Jul 2024		Book William Parr Greswell - The Growth And Administration Of The British Colonies, 1837-1897 (1898)	Interesting aspect of this book is it's part of the "Victorian Era Series", yet was published while Queen Victoria was still alive. For some reason I thought the term "Victorian" didn't come into use until after she died.

It wouldn't have worked for this book though as the dust jacket was basically newsprint - any liquid would have gone through. Some stories use post-it notes for pricing or put in plastic but this store doesn't cater to collectors, sadly.

23skidoo 28th Jun 2024		Book D. H. Lawrence - The Virgin And The Gipsy (1988)	@annaloog. Interesting. I was told different by a Lawrence fan. Maybe the request should be reversed then and make Gipsy the primary spelling and put Gypsy in the English title field?

Considering this book was based on a raunchy comedy with a "naughty" photo on the cover, someone might have also made up a Penguin-style "formal" cover for it as a joke or to hide it from the kids/spouse/boss! LOL

23skidoo 16th Jun 2024		Book Jennifer Adams - Dracula (2014)	@annaloog. I bought it because for a tiny tots book it's an odd subject and #9 was 9 coffins (only they called them "boxes"). I counted at least 5 potential "awkward questions" as I was going through the book at Value Village and I knew I needed it for my library! LOL
23skidoo 14th Jun 2024		Book Don Dahler - Fearless Harriet Quimby (2022)	I have seen this book listed in some places as Fearless: Harriet Quimby: A Life Without Limit. However I do believe the colon is being misapplied. No colon is in evidence on the title page and "A Life Without Limit" is clearly meant to be the subtitle. As always, willing to stand corrected.

I can't even order it on Amazon. To be fair Sherwood's new Bond-without-Bond book is nowhere to be found here either.

23skidoo 2nd Jun 2024		Book Carl Sagan - Contact (1986)	Submitted two corrections: Correct title is "Contact" ("A Novel" is subtitle and only for this first edition). Also, year of first publication was 1985 not 1986.
