If I can find them, I'll go through my 1996 FT issues. I have a couple of other books in this series, which IIRC came as a bonus with the magazine.

annaloog ● 2nd Nov 2024		Book Elisabeth Sanxay Holding - Net Of Cobwebs (1946)	I found a copy of this some years ago at a Goodwill thrift bookshop, complete with dust jacket, though the laminate is peeling a bit. Not many of these early Bantam paperbacks had these DJs; my 1982 Hancer price guide identifies less than 10 of them.
annaloog ● 24th Oct 2024		Book Captain W. E. Johns - Worrals Flies Again (1943)	I'd think that the 'real' authorship of, say, Mark Twain is fairly well known. That of, say, Carolyn Keene , Saki, or Charity / Lee Blackstock (among many others), not as well known. Sometimes, it's a matter of how far the book uploader is willing to go to research the author, though I'd expect it's much easier to accept the book-in-hand at face value. Eventually, given time, patience and enough prodding, the better-known authors and their pen names will be assembled together. H'mmm, no BBcode link for pen names.

I was told 10 years ago we use real name and then indicate pen name in the appropriate field - with no exceptions. The guide to adding books (also) states, Do please add books using a single canonical version of an author's name, even if there is a variation of the name on the book cover. The name could be that which the author is best known, or how the author is referred to on Wikipedia, eg D. H. Lawrence, William Shakespeare, Margaret Atwood. [my emphasis] The problem I see with using the "real name" (as here) is that it is not always obvious, and it's far easier to use the pen name, since that is ordinarily on the cover or title page. The copyright holder sometimes, but not always, is the author's real name.

annaloog ● 16th Aug 2024		Book Leslie Charteris - The Saint Intervenes (1945)	This is Avon 71 (cat. no. added, and this title added to my Avon list) — the cat. no. should be printed on the book's spine * ... and it is listed in the catalog listing in my copies of Avon 107 and Avon 109. * Avon 1 - 40 are not numbered, but the cat. no. may be found in the Avon catalog listing printed on the inside back cover of these early editions.

Acc. to the Guide (for) Adding Books, Quote: Do please add books using a single canonical version of an author's name, even if there is a variation of the name on the book cover. The name could be that which the author is best known, or how the author is referred to on Wikipedia .... I don't suggest changing, say, all 170 entries (so far) of Jack Vance titles to John Holbrook Vance — the author is "best known" as we now have it ... similarly with Lord Dunsany.

(1988)	Oddly (perhaps), of all the animated cartoon characters that ever existed, from the early (silent) days of Gertie the Dinosaur and Krazy Kat & Ignatz through recent years, those selected for the dust jacket came from Fleischer Studios.

Murders". agathachristie.com, whose connection to the late author (or her estate) is doubtful, has the title as "The ABC Murders", omitting the stops. Which to choose? Does it matter? . . . Perhaps an entry for the original edition might resolve the matter. <edit> FWIW, this 1936 Dodd, Mead edition as listed on ebay shows the title with stops.
