Literally barrels of albums, 45s, CDs and tapes came into my possession around the turn of the century; mostly radio station jetsam. I'm slowly sorting it all out, organizing my library of music, and listening to selections I otherwise wouldn't have known existed. There are some excellent items here, mainstream pop recordings, lots of independent releases, and other material somewhat less interesting. My vinyl collecting began in the early 70's, and has waxed and waned over the years. I have numerous turntables including an Admiral mono player (with tubes!) so I can play my 78s. My expertise in the field of music and musicology is limited. I know what I like and I know it when I hear it.
This little book has seen better days. There is no spine left on it - the white part of the front cover is tape. Inside there are so many interesting, fascinating, never before seen (by most of us) automobile images that, I was tempted to copy the entire thing. But no. I do plan to add more pages, because I think they are worthy of viewing. I hope you enjoy them!
Though it says 1949 on the copyright page I am unsure if the book club edition would be released the same year as the original - so I didn't add that date.
