Apologies for the fuzzy image on the main but that was scanning through a jewel case to show the wrapper/case configuration. Thanks to kei masaru for the release date info - I wasn't sure if that was a release date.

23skidoo 17th Mar 2022		CD Album Johnny Cash - The Soul Of Truth: Bootleg Vol. IV (2012)	Includes the first CD release of the album A Believer Sings the Truth (recorded for Columbia but ultimately released by Cachet Records), and the contents of two complete unreleased Columbia albums.
23skidoo 13th Feb 2022		CD Album Katie Melua - Album No. 8 (2020)	Melua issued an acoustic variant of this album in the fall of 2021. I've got a copy on order and will index it when I get it unless someone beats me to it, of course. Edit: the variant is listed here. I'm not linking the two because the Acoustic album isn't a remix but a re-recording of the album apparently.
23skidoo 22nd Jan 2022		CD Album [no artist listed] - The Great Contest (1996)	If you had told me when I woke up this morning that by mid-afternoon I'd have added to my CD collection a reissue of an infamous flatulence record of the late 1940s, I'd have laughed. It's even funnier to discover this was not only a Canadian recording, but as such it actually satisfies Canadian content rules up here. What a world!
23skidoo 12th Jan 2022		CD Album Sheena Easton - The Definitive Singles 1980-1987 (2021)	Since this only covers her UK and US releases on EMI and affiliated labels, the Kenny Rogers duet is included but not her Spanish singles from 1984-85 or her U Got the Look duet with Prince which was released on Paisley Park (and by which time I believe Sheena had parted company with EMI anyway).
23skidoo 11th Nov 2021		CD Album Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever (2021)	As a collector/lover of physical media (an interest I know I share with a lot of people here), I want to give Billie a bit of respect here. While some other artists I could name (coughLordecough) are playing games by doing things like selling empty boxes with download codes, Billie - who is the next generation after Lorde, I might add - is going the opposite direction. Aside from there being two versions of the CD - this deluxe edition and a standard one - this album has also been released on vinyl, which has become standard now. But Billie has even put out a version on audio cassette! I can't imagine she'd sell too many copies of that, but who knows? Good on her, anyway, for giving us consumers options.

23skidoo 18th Oct 2021		CD Album Darling Violetta - Parlour (2003)	"A Smaller God" is arguably best known from its appearance in the computer game Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, where it's played during the Empire Hotel Banquet sequence; an NPC is shown on a stage "performing" the song but I don't know if she's meant to represent the actual band.

23skidoo 11th Sep 2021		CD Album Liz Phair - Liz Phair (2003)	Anyone know if there's ever been a pressing of this that isn't Enhanced? One problem with Enhanced CDs is they don't play using the current CD-playing apps on Windows 10.

I would have no objection to a moderator moving this to CD Singles.
23skidoo 20th Jul 2021		CD Album Various Artists - Rockabilly Hall Of Fame Volume One (1998)	For researchers: the Comets track is a previously unreleased demo or rehearsal recording of the song later recorded in studio for Hydra Records. The Stargazers track featuring Comet Marshall Lytle is likewise previously unreleased.
23skidoo 6th Jul 2021		CD Album The Proclaimers - The Best Of... (2002)	Worth noting that actor Matt Lucas wrote the liner notes. What's interesting is aside from an essay about the band, he even wrote commentary for the songs, making it a bit more than just the equivalent of a foreword in a book.

23skidoo 23rd May 2021		CD Album The Beatles - New York, Miami And Philadelphia (2016)	@Sea Venom - It says made in Czech Republic with the notation it's not meant to be sold in the US. Most likely given the public domain rules in the EU this CD is possible because the Ed Sullivan performances and probably the Philadelphia ones as well have entered public domain there based on the 50-year rule. I'd support changing the country of origin to read "Europe" instead of "Bootleg" since there are plenty of legitmate UK and EU releases featuring actual Beatles studio recordings that fell into public domain in those regions in the 2010s.

Others may disagree with me, but I would say if the repress occurred at a different time, then I think it's justified to give it a separate entry because someone looking for releases on which, for example in this case, Chariot appeared, they might get confused at seeing no listing for Chariot here, if you see what I'm getting at.

The original upload with the 0088 says it's distributed by Columbia House, so if there's a different UPC on yours, it might need to be indexed separately. Note it even has a different MCA logo.
23skidoo 5th May 2021		CD Album Biz Markie - I Need A Haircut (1991)	There is also a version of this album without Track 12. Apparently Markie got sued for sampling a Gilbert O'Sullivan song and according to Wikipedia this resulted in new practices in the hip-hop industry over approvals for sampled music (I actually thought this was from when Enya went after somebody for sampling her music). Anyway, the copy I indexed has "Alone Again" which was removed from future pressings of the CD.
23skidoo 1st May 2021		CD Album Johnny Cash - The Best Of The Johnny Cash TV Show 1969-1971 (2007)	@Quad5point1 If so, the Wal-Mart I bought my copy from was breaking the rules. And I bought the DVD from either HMV or its successor here in Canada, Sunrise, and there was no CD included with it. The DVD I have, however does use the same cover design as the CD I indexed.
