First released by Junior Lewis on Scepter 1257 in August 1963. Probably recorded by Chuck Jackson around the same time. "Why" and "Need To Belong" were not previously unissued both were included on the Wand LP "The Early Show” released in November 1967. "Little By Little" is a cover of Nappy Brown's pop hit from late 1956, written by Rose Marie McCoy and Kelly Owens.

JOE SEEMS TO KNOW w & m Curtis Mayfield 20 0ct 69 EU143588. Recorded in Chicago, October 8, 1969 by Patti Labelle & The Blubelles. Seems to be written exclusively for Patti Labelle & The Blubelles because I can't find another recording of this song.
