I suppose the track selection here was an attempt to avoid too much duplication, but three songs from Double Fantasy seems a bit much.

TopPopper 17th Apr 2014		CD Album The Beatles - 2 Don't Let Me Down (2001)	What a very odd record. At first glance, I was expecting all the songs which only made number 2 in the charts, but then it looked like they were all B-sides (side "2"), but that doesn't work either.
TopPopper 16th Apr 2014		CD Album The Beatles - Please Please Me (1988)	It looks too good to be a boot, although it's not impossible. Could be Japanese. The Japanese did/do issue replicas from the UK discography all the time, and so this could be one.

TopPopper 9th Apr 2014		CD Album The Beatles - Only The Beatles...	If the consensus is that this is a bootleg, then can we remove the year of release? At present it is listed prior to the first official EMI releases of Please Please Me etc, which must be wrong.

Surely a company which has already issued a cassette edition would have a much easier task of producing these realistic CDs, than some previously uninvolved third party? That said, I do believe it's a boot!

TopPopper 31st Mar 2014		CD Album Jean Knight - Mr. Big Stuff (2002)	The more I think about it, the more I see that "international" is the way to go. For one thing, it is correct these days. CDs are issued that way, so there's no real reason to try and shoe-horn CDs into individual countries. The world has changed, and those of us weaned on vinyl just have to unlearn what we think we know about the various national discographies. Often, it's not accurate to talk about the German edition, the French edition, the Australian edition and so on now that a single version is sold internationally.
TopPopper 31st Mar 2014		CD Album Jean Knight - Mr. Big Stuff (2002)	I don't wish to get involved in this debate, but I do have an idea: Is it possible to change "Worldwide" to the less-universal term, "international" - and then have a sub-field of some sort so that individual countries where it was sold could be selected? That would mean an "International" CD could be marked (eg by using a tick box) as, say "Australia" and appear in that discography. If someone then wants to add it as Germany, they could just tick the Germany box, so it would appear under Germany as well, and so on...
TopPopper 29th Mar 2014		CD Album The Beatles - The Decca Audition (2009)	I think the presence of the three Lennon/McCartney compositions suggests this is a boot of the complete tapes. I don't think they've ever shown up anywhere legal except two of them (I think) on Anthology.

TopPopper 27th Mar 2014		CD Album Reg Dwight - Reg Dwight's Piano Goes Pop (1994)	Good effort but I hate to say most are probably wrong! The CD was compiled from LP releases, which of course did cover hit singles, but these versions were mainly not released on 45. They are from albums. Track 1, for instance isn't Pipkins - it's from this covers LP. Track 2 is from here. If I get time, I'll go through the rest.
