I was lucky enough to go to one of the shows from this tour (Brighton, England) and of course had to get the CD when it came out. One of the best gigs I've been to.

TopPopper 30th Aug 2014		CD Album Leon Rosselson And Roy Bailey - That's Not The Way It's Got To Be (2006)	The only release of this album on CD (to date). Smithsonian Folkways say they are archiving music like this to preserve it for posterity, but here they have ruined it! The audio is taken from a vinyl LP - you can hear the crackles, and in an effort to deaden them, they have just turned down the treble, leaving the music stifled and muddy. Wasted opportunity - I'd prefer a crackly LP any day.

TopPopper 25th Aug 2014		CD Album Robyn Hitchcock - Groovy Decoy (1986)	Note that the sleeve notes are not correct when crediting the producers. Tracks 5 and 8 are also Steve Hillage. Confusion arises because those two tracks were not originally album cuts - they come to the CD editions from earlier singles.

TopPopper 25th Jul 2014		CD Album The Beatles - Magical And Mystical Words (1997)	Just Googled Ozit Records (other sites seem to spell "Ozit" as one word) and it seems it is a legit label with a roster of artists. I think they must have gone out a a limb here - no doubt Apple Records were swiftly onto them. The Virgin Megastore was about a minute's walk from mpl, so there's a pretty good chance someone working there would have spotted it in the racks!
