PCB5394 20th Apr 2015		Live Music The Black Crowes @ Apollo Theatre (1992)	This is the same Verve who later made it big with "The Drugs Don't Work" etc. At this gig they were just another thrash metal band.Not particularly good either.

PCB5394 29th Mar 2015		Live Music Mercury @ Bellevue (2001)	Queen tribute band.The singer had Freddie off to a tee.Very good.
PCB5394 29th Mar 2015		Live Music The Beethoven Brothers @ Bellevue (2001)	these were a Dutch Beatles tribute band. They did the show in three separate sections,the early years,the, the Sgt.Pepper era & the later years. I'll upload some photos to give everyone a flavour of what it was like.We went to see them again in Magaluf in 2005 in some club. After the first section of the show I noticed they were unplugging their gear & packing it away. I asked one of them why they had stopped & he said they had been told to pack up because they weren't loud enough.What a load of crap.The place was full of people I'd say in their 50's & 60's who had come just to see them. the DJ then started to play rap & hip-hop music at about volume level 100, which soon emptied the place.

PCB5394 27th Mar 2015		Live Music Jackie Dennis @ Empire (1958)	Jackie Dennis was a young lad from Edinburgh who had a hit with a cover version of The Purple People Eater. He came on stage wearing a kilt & immediately people started laughing at him.A rock'n'roller in a kilt?. Eventually he had to go off as people were starting to boo & shouting for him to get off. The John Barry Seven had to come back on to finish the show.
PCB5394 27th Mar 2015		Live Music Bill Haley And His Comets @ Odeon (1957)	This was my first ever gig. I was still in school,but bunked off with my mate Cass to queue for tickets.
PCB5394 26th Mar 2015		Live Music Screaming Lord Sutch And The Savages @ The Village Hall (1964)	The support bands were all local bands,but the Strangers were by far the best band around on the North Wales Circuit. They were from Anglesey And played in the Cavern in Liverpool quite a few times where they had to call themselves the Anglesey Strangers to avoid confusion with a band from South Africa called the Strangers. They really were a superb band and should have gone a lot further than they did.

PCB5394 26th Mar 2015		Live Music Gravedigger @ Hafan Y Mor Holiday Park (2013)	Was very disappointed with Blackfoot. A whole new line-up. The lead guitarist was a young guy with a mohican hairdo, not really suitable for a southern rock band like Blackfoot.Although the stuff they did was good they were nowhere near as the band in it's heyday.
PCB5394 26th Mar 2015		Live Music Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Show @ Southport Theatre (2010)	This was a band who did the whole of the Sgt. Pepper album, plus other Beatles songs. Very good show.
PCB5394 26th Mar 2015		Live Music Blackfoot @ Empire Theatre (1982)	Probably the best gig I've ever been to.They were absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere was brilliant.

PCB5394 26th Mar 2015		Live Music Rhodes Rock 2010 @ Ancient Theatre (2010)	this was a three day event which used to be held annualy on the island of Rhodes,but which has now been moved to Spain. These were all tribute bands as can be gathered by the names I attended with my wife and really had a great time.
PCB5394 26th Mar 2015		Live Music Rhodes Rock 2010 @ Ancient Theatre (2010)	I've classified this as unknown country as it seemed to be the only way I could get it included,as there didn't seem to be any other way to do it,as there is no listing for Rhodes. I did try Greece, but that wouldn't work either. I hope the mods can sort it out.
PCB5394 26th Mar 2015		Live Music The Classic Rock Show @ Liverpool Philharmonic Hall (2015)	This was all about the 20 greatest guitar riffs of all time, in the band members opinion.I have to admit there were some strange choices. For example Rosanna by Toto, telegraph road by Dire Straits.Good tracks in their own right, but not what I would call riffs exactly. As in earlierClassic Rock Shows no Deep Purple or Black Sabbath.
PCB5394 26th Mar 2015		Live Music The Classic Rock Show @ Liverpool Philharmonic Hall (2013)	The classic rock show was mainly made up of members of Brit Floyd playing songs from what they regarded as the top 20 classic albums of all time.Disappointingly No Deep Purple Or Black Sabbath songs., Really excellent band and brilliant songs on the whole. I've seen this show three times now, so It's easy to see I enjoyed it.
