I was just about to add another copy of John Wyndham's Consider Her Ways, but have put it on hold. Something I've raised before is new edition, new ISBN (usually)
But this is a straightforward reprint, no book number change, just new artwork.
There are already 1970 & 1971 editions of this title on the database with the same number, my 1979 reprint keeping the same.
Why are we not just adding the new covers on the same entry, with the reprint date as it's reference (similar to LPs, Revolver label changes for example)?
My Consider Her Ways states 'Published in Penguin Books 1965. Reprinted 1968, 1970, 1961, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1979.
So really this a 1965 edition, 1979 reprint. Is this too precise here? Should I just entering it as a 1979 edition? Obviously I'll go with the flow, but thought I should raise it again.
