If a mod wants to change the cat # on both to [none], feel free.
23skidoo 30th Jan 2024		Cassette Album Bill Haley And The Comets - Golden Favourites (1975)	The cover indicates Be By Me and ABC Rock are being released for the first time. This is correct for Be By Me, but ABC Rock had actually been issued on Vocalion Records in 1964.

23skidoo 14th Dec 2023		Cassette Album Samuel Altonn - Guitar Boogie	Just for confirmation on the Chuck Berry comment, an uncropped version of the cover photo can be found on this Chuck Berry LP. This set is unusual for including instrumentals of a couple of rarely covered Bill Haley songs: Happy Baby and Let the Good Times Roll, Creole.

23skidoo 25th Nov 2020		Cassette Album Bill Haley - Bill Haley (1981)	I don't know if this trivia is worth anything, but the photo used for this set was taken in the fall of 1979 and fans of Sha Na Na may be interested to know the bearded guitar player on the right is Dave "Chico" Ryan, who joined the Comets in '79-80 for what would be Haley's final tours.

23skidoo 4th Apr 2020		Cassette Album Bill Haley - Bill Haley (1981)	Box scan added (the inlays use the same image). Please pardon the price tag. I ended up with 2 copies of this but the only one for which the original box survives is still in the original shrink wrap.

23skidoo 28th Mar 2020		Cassette Single [no artist listed] - SUN 102 FM: Saskatoon's New Radio Station (1989)	I've kept a copy of this tape as a souvenir of when I used to deliver newspapers while I was in university to earn extra money. I remember the day we had to deliver this tape - we were cursing them because of the extra weight and the fact we had to manually insert the tape into each newspaper otherwise it would fall out in the bag. (Back in those days we'd often be called upon to deliver weird extras with newspapers; the oddest was a piece of (plastic-wrapped) fresh bread as part of an advertisement for a local breadmaker!)
23skidoo 23rd Oct 2019		Cassette Album Bill Haley - Bill Haley	The Haley tracks are the 1968 Sonet studio remakes. The origin of the non-Haley tracks remain a mystery. I remember buying this c.1981 and being bitterly disappointed that these weren't Haley recordings. One of the songs is almost disco in style, a genre Haley never attempted and totally does not fit with the others.
23skidoo 21st Oct 2014		Reel-to-Reel Bill Haley And His Comets - Bill Haley And His Comets (1960)	The year given is incorrect as this album was released in 1960, not 1959 (it wasn't recorded until January-February 1960 and a 1960 copyright date is clearly visible on the box scan). Correction submitted.

23skidoo 28th Aug 2014		Cassette Album Billy Connolly - Raw Meat For The Balcony! (1977)	Connolly actually performs 11 as "Closin' Time" with new lyrics but only Owens is credited. 08 is the Rolf Harris song, with new lyrics.

(1993)	For some reason, this tape (which was never released in LP or CD format) has the same release number, CR02, as Freed's 1989 cassette album On the Plains and a 1990 cassette single he put out. Recorded live in concert in Saskatoon, Sask., in October 1992.
