US-Cover with square red price-stamp in US-Dollar from the PX-Shops in Germany. Pressing is from TELDEC-Germany with a special label-design, to identify it as a so called "Army-Pressing".

78rpm-maniac 24th Feb 2023		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Ganz Paris Singt Von Der Liebe	In general we can differ two versions on the subject of the German Hörzu- LP-Album releases from the 1960s. Every Hörzu-LP-Album from the Sixties which features a SHZE or a SHZT Number is a Germany-only production and for the sale in Germany only conceived. There are some parallel releases, like this one with the different French artists, which doesn´t feature the special Hörzu-record-label or the special Hörzu- catalogue number. They feature "regular" German ODEON, ELECTROLA, COLUMBIA labels in white-red-golden label-style, with SMO/STO, SMC/STC or SME/STE Präfixes. That indicated so called Export-Variants to the Germany only Hörzu-sister-pressings. That Export-issues were all made in Germany in Cologne at the EMI-Pressing Plant at Maarweg, but for the sale in some other European countries, exept Germany. So, i hope that make it more clear with the different issues. Yes, i know, sometimes it is a little bit confusing, but it makes sense, to differ the regular with the export-issues.

Interesting to see NOT the regular Hörzu-release, but an Electrola release with SME-number. That makes this copy to an Export-release.

Your mentioned valuation in Australian Dollar seems to be right one, not overpriced in irrational form. It depends on the person, who is willing to pay some money for a pristine copy of that album, no question, but nobody will pay more than 3000 Euro for such a record. Nobody. Nobody is so stupid. In case of a special issue, like my mentioned expamples, the value can rise, especially it is an acetate-dub-record, a testpressing or something like that, but never a conventional issue. I´m also of the opinion, most of that highly prized records if they are not really special issues or real rarities are artificial overprized by slippery traders. You can watch that phenomenon also on the well known e-commerce marketplaces like e-bay and so son. Other example: An UK-trader, a really big fish in the field of online-traders tags a regular Dire Straits Brothers in arms UK-issue with a price-suggestion of more than 90 Euro. That says everything.

78rpm-maniac 20th Feb 2023		Vinyl Album Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast (1982)	Hi My Friend Jack, yes, you are right with your opinion and that is the same thing with my thoughts in case of the valuation system. Some people misuse it, and than we come to the problem i have mentioned. Newbies in the field of collecting vinyl-records are getting more and more confused with that unrealistic valuations. I also asked the collector from Australia, what is special with that record. Normally it is a very common record from the early Eighties, and always easy to grab for the collection. If it is a really special pressing, Australia only, or pre-owned by one of the bandmembers, fully autographed, test- or promotional-pressing in tiny quantities and so on, than a value can rise up for such a record, but not for a regular issue.

Is this a special Australian edition from one of the Iron Maiden-bandmembers, a testpressing, or something like that. Can anyone explain the 3000 Euro value ???

Steffi Stephan is the bassplayer in Udo Lindenbergs Panic-Orchester and Achim Reichel is a famous German singer-songwriter, guitarist and founder of the German beatgroup "The Rattles".

78rpm-maniac 14th Feb 2023		Vinyl Album Stars On 45 - Stars On 45 Long Play Album (1981)	Very popular and known in Europe, those Beatles or ABBA-hit-medleys by Jaap Eggermont. They are well produced sound-a-like versions of the original Beatles and ABBA-songs. It is possible, that the original master-recordings by Beatles or ABBA are too expensive to get for those hit-medley-recordings, so Jaap and his musicians did it by themselves.

Jaap Eggermont was also a record-producer and he hired studio-musicians to create those Hit-Medleys with Beatles and with ABBA-songs.
