78rpm-maniac 31st Oct 2022		Vinyl Album Karl-Heinz Kastel - Hit-Gitarre (1963)	Real name is Karl Heinz Kästel, not Kastel. I also own that record in a misprinted variant. My B-Side Label is white-red-golden ODEON Label with SMO 83480 instead of ELECTROLA Label with SMC 83480.

78rpm-maniac 25th Oct 2022		Vinyl Album Elvis Presley - Harem Holiday (1981)	That pressing is not a Teldec-pressing anymore, but a BMG-Bertelsman Media Group Pressing from the early 1980s. The manufacturing rights for German issues went from Teldec to BMG. BMG also released for the first time Elvis Presley records on the CD-Format. SONOPRESS was the pressing plant in those days. The manufacturing rights possibly could be given from Teldec to BMG in around 1981-82. And then the first newer re-issues had been pressed in the early eighties under the use of the new NL00000 catalogue-number on label and cover. The price-value of 37 Euro for such an issue is totally overpriced. Only fools will pay such a price. In Germany and in the EU you can get copies from that editions for a few Euro up to 10 Euros maximum.
78rpm-maniac 22nd Oct 2022		Vinyl Album The Velvet Underground And Nico - The Velvet Underground & Nico (1967)	According to the catalogue-number, that record must be released in Germany in 1967. I have seen copies with the blue-silver Verve-label and that record housed in the US-fold-out-cover with the banana-sticker artwork on front, and on the back with a small sticker carrying the German catalogue-number.

78rpm-maniac 19th Sep 2022		Vinyl Album Elvis Presley - California Holiday (1984)	I just have seen such Re-Issues from the early 1980s in pristine condition on the last German record-fair close to my hometown for around 10-13 Euro. So don´t be confused with the senseless record-valuation here on the database. The mentioned price of 32 Euro for such a Re-Re-issue is totally overpriced.
78rpm-maniac 19th Sep 2022		Vinyl Album Elvis Presley - Seine 40 Grössten Hits (1975)	This Elvis Presley ARCADE-Issue is also a bargain-record, and everybody who want to add this record to the collection can grab it for a few euro in Europe on the used-record-markets, fleamarkets, record-fairs and so on. So don´t pay the mentioned 39 Euro for such a common record. A realistic maximum trade price will be around 10 Euro for a pristine copy. That record-valuation system here makes again no sense, because it will confuse some newbie record-collectors.

This is a re-re-reissue with the NL-...... number, pressed by Sonopress-Bertelsmann Germany. I will sell all my re- re- issues for 30 Euros each copy, and i will be a very very rich man. Oh my god. Just to wake you up. In Germany you can get such newer re-issues for around 5-10 Euro maximum very easily on fleamarkets, and nobody, really nobody will pay 30 euros upwards for such a record. Never in this century.
78rpm-maniac 14th Sep 2022		Vinyl Album [no artist listed] - International Hits By James Last	Is it clear, that James Lasts Band/Orchestra is on this record, or do we have here a so called Sound-a-like-record-producton with James Last Songs, played by an unknown studio-band. Like the Stars on 45 or Stars on 33, the songs are not sung by the original artists, like ABBA or the Beatles, but played by studio-musicians. Jaap Eggermont from Holland was the producer of such sound-a-like-records.

78rpm-maniac 10th Sep 2022		Vinyl Album The Smiths - Strangeways, Here We Come (1987)	HI, i found out that the German issues doesn´t carry the slogans like the UK-editions. German issues feat. handetched matrix-numbers and signatures of the German mastering-engineers from different studios. This German issue should carry handwritten matrixnumbers and the signature HR at the end. HR stands for Henry Riedel, a mastering-engineer from Tonstudio Bauer, Ludwigsburg Germany. According to my other German issues of The Smiths-LP-Albums of that time, no one carry the slogangs in the deadwax.

Vintage, genuine German copies should carry the handetched matrix-numbers and the siganture Hi at the end. Hi stands for Joachim Hinsch Audio Mastering Hamburg, Germany. It is his signature for the lacquer-cut.

The much older issue has a bigger frame incl. the catalogue-number. So this stereo-issue is NOT from 1957 exacteley. It could be released in the early 1960s.
