Quote:
All Record Store Day releases are international and ....
This is not entirely true. RSD's lists do identify some titles as "Regional Focus".
If Fokeman wants to change the flag to International, I have no objection.

annaloog ● 2nd Nov 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumSandy Denny - Gold Dust (2022) | The label and sticker images were scanned from my copy, which I purchased on 23 Apr 2022 in Nashville, TN, and is thus a USA release (it was among the few remaining items, and the only LP I considered worth the sticker price). It was also listed as a US release (4500 copies available) for 2022 by recordstoreday.com.
Considering that the disk was manufactured in Czech Republic I would expect that copies were also available for sale in Europe for RSD, but I don't know that for certain.

annaloog ● 23rd Oct 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumThe New Christy Minstrels - Today (1964) | Same as CL 2159? ... different cover graphic.
annaloog ● 15th Oct 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumCarlos Barocela - Tu Nombre En La Arena (1969) | Liner notes in Spanish, this release presumably was aimed at the Latin market.
annaloog ● 14th Oct 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - What's Shakin' (1966) | Images of the inserts are available on the US stereo entry (linked below). I don't know whether UK copies came with different inserts.
annaloog ● 10th Oct 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - 20 Spotlight Hits (1965) | This appears to be record 1 of a multi-record set - compare with the stereo version.
annaloog ● 8th Oct 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumRatt - Detonator (1990) | Aren't record club issues entered separately?
annaloog ● 25th Sep 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumChicago Transit Authority - Chicago Transit Authority (1969) | Thanks, TheDroid, that would appear to explain the situation.
annaloog ● 22nd Sep 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumChicago Transit Authority - Chicago Transit Authority (1969) | Had this originally been planned as two single disk albums? I note the disparity between the two disk numbers, CS 9809 and CS 9836, and the two sets of matrix numbers.

Ah! I thought that Argo had always been part of Decca, so thanks for putting me straight....
Yes, thanks, so did I.
annaloog ● 4th Aug 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Oklahoma! Motion Picture Sound Track (1955) | I have changed the flag to UK. It looks like this entry and Capitol LCT 6100 should be combined.
As W.B.lbl mentioned, the original (US) release is Capitol SAO 595 * ... somewhere I have two copies, which I found at the same thrift shop some 3 years apart.
* Not to be confused with 'SWAO 595', the later stereo reissue.

annaloog ● 1st Aug 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumJulie Andrews, Henry Mancini - Music From The Film Score (1970) | Indeed, the "Z" in the "ZPRS" matrix no. prefix indicates 1970.
mod edit: year changed to 1970
annaloog ● 1st Aug 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumJean Ritchie - Songs From Kentucky (1955) | The main and alternate labels should be swapped: this is a US Westminster release (WN 18021) of a UK Argo recording (RG 3 ?) ... oddly (I'd think) licensed to Westminster rather than released on UK Decca's US London label. The RCA Custom matrix prefix dates this to 1955.
annaloog ● 19th Jul 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumCanned Heat - Canned Heat (1967) | Perhaps intentional, since Sterno (which was advertised as "canned heat") is a trademarked name.
annaloog ● 1st Jul 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumJosh White - A Josh White Program / Ballads (1951) | The cover title was changed (to "Ballads") for US release; the labels retain the UK title (with spelling adapted for USA). Some of the tracks were reissued on 12" London LL-1341.
annaloog ● 30th Jun 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumSergio Centi - Canzoni Romane Seconda Raccolta (1956) | Jul or Aug 1956 release, judging from the date stamped in the runout area.
annaloog ● 28th Jun 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumAfter All - After All (1969) | She was a recording artist as well.
annaloog ● 24th Jun 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumPink Floyd - Delicate Sound Of Thunder (1990) | Side 3 = 00545 (red label) or A60-00545 (white label)
Side 4 = 00546 (red label) or A60-00546 (white label)
The 'A60 00543 007' no. is absent from the white labels. Both the red and white labels are from the Leningrad factory (Ленинградский Завод). So much for reading the label info., hopefully it helps.

FWIW, the 'EKS 75049' no. is a reference to the US release no., not a matrix no.

annaloog ● 2nd Apr 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumJonathan And Darlene Edwards - The Piano Artistry Of Jonathan Edwards (1957) | ? Already entered?

Mine is a variant with cat# ST 8-2993....
The '8' bit of the prefix indicates a Capitol Record Club issue. It should have its own entry.
annaloog ● 19th Mar 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumChamber Orchestra Of The Saar, Karl Ristenpart - Georg Philipp Telemann (1967) | Label images [# 3520414, 3520415] are of a mid-1970s Allentown Record Co. pressing. The sides were mastered ('signed') by Pete Helfrich.
annaloog ● 18th Mar 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - The Baroque Trumpet (1964) | Label images [# 3519100, 3519101] are of a mid-1970s Specialty pressing (no date in the runout). The sides were mastered by Robert Ludwig at Sterling Sound.
annaloog ● 11th Mar 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumBoston Pops Orchestra, Arthur Fiedler - Tchaikovsky: The Nutcracker [Excerpts] (1958) | This release remained in RCA's catalog for more than a decade, judging from the later (1969-1970s) label design [images # 3514233, 3514235]. Oddly (considering I'd rummaged through thrift shop offerings for more than 30 years), I don't seem to have come across an earlier pressing.
annaloog ● 10th Mar 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Robert Shaw Chorale - On Stage With Robert Shaw (1958) | FWIW, stamper numbers on my copy are -3S / -3S.
annaloog ● 4th Mar 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumBerlin Symphony Orchestra - Shostakovitch • Kabalevsky • Prokofieff • Borodin Orchestral Works (1955) | FWIW, the stamped matrix numbers are XTV22459-1B. and XTV22573-1A. Note the 'high fidelity' frequency range touted as "50~ - 15,000~" (hertz).
IINM, the recordings are from DDR (East Germany): the Berlin Symphony Orchestra was based in the Soviet zone. The anonymous liner notes don't make that clear.
annaloog ● 2nd Mar 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Enid - In The Region Of The Summer Stars (1976) | Later pressing label scans added ... apparently, no Decca involvement in manufacture or distribution.
annaloog ● 25th Feb 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumJudith Blegen, Frederica Von Stade - Arias And Duets (1975) | Promotional copy label images added . . . Columbia's print shop apparently lacked accented / umlauted upper and lower case letters for the typeface used for titles.
annaloog ● 25th Feb 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumTzabar Group - Israel Dances (1958) | With participation of Dov Seltzer and Geula Gill, this group appears to be the same as Oranim Zabar Israeli Troupe.
annaloog ● 11th Feb 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - The Great Big Band Vocalists (1971) | My copy of CSS 1507 is (presently) sill sealed, but CSS 1508 also has these later red 'CSP' labels.
