ppint. 2nd Jan 2015		Review superb. another perfect album - sandy denny on top form, with sympathetic musicians inspired by her to achieve their very best, too. alas, it sold but poorly, even with the stunningly good cover showing she possessed great beauty and could "do" stately poise - when she wasn't being a relaxed "one of the lads down the pub enjoying a pint or three", and - eventually - island dropped her from their line-up: they just couldn't find a way to sell enough of her records.° overall album rating: not less than 15/10 (i know - but...) ° - not even with yr hmbl srppnt.'s buying more than one of this, to give as presents. . . 2 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?



YankeeDisc SUBS 6th Sep 2013		*It'll Take A Long Time* .....an utterly beautiful song, with all three 'participants' intertwining vocally and musically, to produce a memorable vinyl golden moment. The three are Sandy, with her wistful vocal, Sneaky Pete Kleinow, with his sympatico pedal steel guitar, and for me the exquisite guitar of Richard Thompson, very understated, but so right.....magical. Addenda: Sandy was born two days before David Bowie.....on 6th Jan. 1947.
