This was the final Bill Haley album to be made for and released to the domestic USA market. Hereafter, all of Haley's further albums would be recorded primarily for European release (though with most still being issued in the US by various label licensees and most still being recorded in the US).

Some additional info: This was recorded in December 1969. Most issues and reissues of this album begin with introductory remarks by Richard Nader, promoter of the Rock and Roll Revival concert tours, as he introduced Haley, though Haley's comments that follow, and the song performance, came from later in the show. For those interested in such matters, the Comets line-up for this show was: Rudy Pompilli (sax), Nick Nastos a.k.a. Nick Masters (lead guitar plus vocal on "Framed"), Bill Nolte (drums), Rey Cawley (bass).

In introducing Nastos' performance of "Framed", Haley says that Nastos had recently recorded the song. Although he did have his own group at the time separate from the Comets (in fact, Nolte and Cawley were also members of that group), there's been no evidence that a non-Comets recording of "Framed" by Nastos was ever released. However, a single featuring this version of "Framed" was released concurrent with the album.

Edit: additional notes - Collectors can usually tell if an album is a reissue of these recordings because almost without fail, "Rock the Joint" will be mistitled "Rock This Joint Tonite" while "The Saints Rock 'n' Roll" is often listed under the source song's original title, "When the Saints Go Marching In" (though, oddly, the label of this original release gets the title right, though the sleeve doesn't. Also, for some reason "Rock the Joint" is credited to one James Bracken instead of the songwriting team of Grafton, Keene and Bagby.
