TheDroid 🍰 9th Jan 2017		I tend to agree with ajtharp on this, regarding any LP with the same catalog number (not the leading letters, which often are related to price changes and distribution). Although I do agree that AYL1-3890 would warrant its' own entry as it is an entirely different catalog number. So in this instance I believe AFL1-4852 and LSP-4852 should be merged back together. There are numerous examples on 45worlds of reissue (RE) albums, often with a change in a part of catalog number and also many times with no change. That is why their is the Other Cat#'s option in the Add Missing Info at the bottom of all entries.

robozuc 1st Dec 2016		@ ajtharp I understand your point of view but In this particular case I beg to disagree for some reasons: cat.numbers LSP-4852 / AFL1-4852 / AYL1-3890 are not the same! If you do a search by catalog number you must find them separately not only LSP-4852. If there was only one entry with cat.n.LSP-4852 we should have two other numbers as secondary: AFL1-4852 / AYL1-3890 (unusual I think) I'm also talking about the 1981 reprint AYL1-3890 because on back cover it says "previously issue as AFL1-4852" (a reissue of a reissue?) So, to avoid confusion I think it is better to keep these separate records.



ajtharp 1st Dec 2016		Standard procedure on 45worlds - Vinyl Albums is that If the album title, tracklisting, record label or catalog number are different than it should get its own entry, AFL1-4852 is a variant of the original LSP-4852 with both using the number 4852, the AFL1-4852 images should be returned to this entry as per 45worlds custom.

vocalion red 23rd Nov 2016		I have thoughtfully provided portions of the pertinent areas of my album cover that contain the letters "RE", bottom left on front and back of cover. This most likely stands for re-issue, or re-release. Gee....the other album covers posted don't have this monogram....do they ?



vocalion red 20th Nov 2016		Congratulations gentlemen, a marvelous job of censorship in removing my posted opinion and cover images. In my opinion, AFL1-4852 does NOT belong displayed on the page for LSP-4852, because AFL1-4852 is a 1980 re-release of the 1973 original issue, which was LSP-4852. For confirmation see the Discogs webpage for this album, in all it's incarnations, (reference # [r 2080547]
