Limited edition triple album in a card envelope. Sticker on shrinkwrap states, "Deluxe 3LP white vinyl edition featuring B-sides, Peel Sessions & full live show from the period. Heavyweight vinyl comes with downloads."
I can't believe this is the first Super Furry Animals album on the site. Are they not well loved in and around their homeland and only appeal to losers in outback Queensland (me) or gonzoid South Americans. Oh, well.
Minimalist presentation but very a stylish and extensive production of the Furries' Mwng from the year 2000. The extras are Mwng Bach from the U.S.A. release and a single B side on side C. A well executed and produced Peel Session on side D. A more raucous and at times unhinged sounding Furries playing All Tomorrow's Parties on sides E and F. So pretty much everything you could wish for in regard to the music. Each album comes in a separate jacket with a black inner sleeve. The card (thin) envelope that holds them together is not really strong enough to last and fairly (extremely) awkward to get the albums in and out of. I listed this as a triple album for that reason but wish Domino had had the foresight to put everything in a proper box. I have not cropped the A side label to a circle on purpose to show the white vinyl. As a scanning exercise this one is close to as difficult as the The Beatles "The Beatles" and like that album it is also full of treasure.
