Billy Two 11th Jan 2013		12" Single The Pogues - Sally MacLennane (1985)	Are you able to go to Edit and disable them ? Personally I don't really mind too much about my own images being borrowed/stolen, but I fully agree it is rudely ignorant to just appropriate them without credit like that.

Billy Two 10th Jan 2013		12" Single Chemical Alice - Curiouser And Curiouser (1981)	A debut vinyl outing for keyboardist Mark Kelly who later that year would join Marillion, taking with him a number of his squiddly riffs from this recording. Bits of "Chelsea Monday", "Forgotten Sons" and "Garden Party" crop up throughout the first three tracks, while fourth song "Land Of Homes" starts with the exact same staccato guitar chop chord that begins "The Web" (though that one goes on to be a full on Hawkindesque space rock affair !). Vocalist Andy Grant and subsequent keyboardist Steve Leigh went onto the form the less commercially successful but still nonetheless interesting Tamarisk. Sleeve lists the songs out of actual order. And I have an original Chemical Alice badge. Thought I'd drop that in.

Billy Two 9th Jan 2013		12" Single Boney M - Daddy Cool (1976)	Re : B-side songwriting credit : "In 1972, Bob Marley and the Wailers were signed by Chris Blackwell to Island Records, but Marley was concerned about a previous songwriting contract he had signed with the producer Danny Sims at Cayman Music. He did not want his new songs to be associated with Cayman and so, in all probability, he put them in the names of his wife, Rita, the Wailers or other close friends to find a way around tight publishing restrictions. This spreading out of writing credits would also have allowed Marley to provide lasting help to family and close friends. "No Woman, No Cry", according to Marley, was written at Ford's flat in 1974, as the pair reminisced about the past and about playing in "the government yard in Trenchtown". There is no proof that Vincent Ford did not write "No Woman, No Cry" and the other songs, but the circumstantial evidence would suggest that he didn't. There are very few other Marley songs attributed to him, although ones that are include "Inna De Red" and "Jah Bless", with Marley's son, Stephen. Billy Two 9th Jan 2013		12" Single Thermoderm - Radium Writes It's Signature (1997)	Release notes taken from the Ganger.UK website: "Through some weird quirk of fate the four of us ended up having access to an 8-track studio at 'beatbox', a music / sound engineering course for the unemployed in glasgow. we went in one night and wrote, recorded and mixed 'radium ....'. i sent the track down to darryl at soul static sound (he sometimes dj'd during ganger sets at our london shows) and offered to release a single if we got more tunes together. another 3 or 4 nights were spent getting the other tracks together and we ended up with this record. I guess it just gave us all a chance to mess about and experiment. there has never really been any thought to playing live (don't even know if we could manage that ) and although there has been mention of doing some new stuff, it's never happened - we'll see! Hubby plays guitar and sings in 'el hombre trajeado' at the moment. check out the 'links' page for their web address. they released an album recently on 'guided missile' and have several singles and split singles kicking about. check them out if you can - their records are good but i reckon they're at their best live. Jason drums in various bands at the moment including 'scatha' (one album out and another due for release) and 'shank' (think they may have a single due out). he's also responsible for doing the thermoderm cover artwork - one of the best cover's i've seen for a long time. Martin played keyboards / noises for ganger during our middle period and was well noted for the hilarious elbow antics at his keyboards during our gigs. he dj's every friday at the 13th note club just now and writes / programs some of his own tunes at home. I seem to be spending most of my life on this bloody web site just now - cheers! stuart"

Billy Two 2nd Jan 2013		12" Single Doug Wimbish (Featuring Fats Comet) - Don't Forget That Beat (1985)	The white label I have of this comes with a press sheet that refers to it as an exclusively Fats Comet release - however, the finished release (and the sticker on the front of the w/label) uses the "Featuring" tag.

Billy Two 28th Dec 2012		12" Single The Boy Hairdressers - Golden Shower (1987)	Saw them in Nov 1987 at The ULU, opening for Primal Scream. Middle band on were Dinosaur (Jr) playing their first ever UK show...something of a line-up, that one !!
