My copy came with a poster.

CB & RW reviews too 6.16.73 [CB pg 41; RW pg 1]. adding advert from RW 6.23.73 pg 15. First ARSA mention 12 June 73 on T40s WRKO Boston and KHJ Los Angeles. Charted BB 6.23.73.

Sounds like it's contingent on which pressing plant turned out which copy that had which label. {Images #1897117 & 1897118} was pressed by All Disc in Roselle, NJ, with Progressive Label & Litho type - and they were apparently the ones that turned out the World Pacific Jazz...

Unfortunately, Downbeat Special hasn't done this LP yet. What is the matrix on your vinyl? That will date it better. My copy is a K. K. Mastering pressing, which was done in Miami. And that makes it a late 80's or early 90s US pressing. My copy also has the labels reversed....

Just added. 1991 repress / reissue. Note: side 1 label has a JA address, side 2 has a NY address.

78rpm-maniac: It would appear the Charisma label had been established in Germany from 1972 when the album was released, so there's no Philips version.

Interesting TheDroid. My copy has a single sleeve with the record having tho old style pink scroll labels.

The cover is correct.

Some more scans would be handy in such cases. Searching for the barcode gives no results. I guess it will be an unofficial issue (Bootleg country would fit best)

Released in the UK in 1978 on Decca, as part of the Rock/Blues Roots series. This was issued as ROOTS 7

LP review in BB, CB & RW 1.24.76 [BB pg 74; CB pg 20; RW pg 1]. First ARSA mention on T40 KLOS Los Angeles 1.22.76. Charted BB 7 Feb 76.

I would be grateful if someone could update the country of issue as I can find no reference on the packaging.
