Magic Marmalade 17th Feb 2017		12" Single Thrashing Doves - Another Deadly Sunset (Full Version) (1988)	No youtube vid of this, but a very catchy tune, and all the songs on this are good, so a band worth investigating further I think.

Magic Marmalade 5th Jan 2017		12" Single Sneaker Pimps - Post Modern Sleaze (Phunk Force Mix) (1997)	A particular pain in my bottom with this one Lee, as the Reprazent mix is a Drum 'n Bass version, so you can imagine what came out of my speakers when I tried playing that a third faster than it was intended! :) (I played that first, as it intrigued me) - I will get more scans of saucy tapestry cover and labels for this up soon, but my scanner is entirely un-co-operative at the moment, and needs either tender care and lullabies, or threats and punishment to get it working again... I shall find out which shortly -

Magic Marmalade 11th Oct 2016		12" Single Nanker Phelge [The Rolling Stones] - Schoolboy Blues	Thanks for the link Lee... ..It caught my attention because of the "typo" I found on the composer credits of this, that I did enter. Bet there were some arguments back at base camp over the royalties for that particular track on that issue. (If of course, anyone is even now aware of it! best Charlie, Bill, and the Jones estate check their records on that one... maybe Mick and Keith were unaccountably more wealthy than usual that year)
Magic Marmalade 10th Oct 2016		12" Single Nanker Phelge [The Rolling Stones] - Schoolboy Blues	I'd like to be able to say I knew that Nanker, Phelge were the Rolling Stones (Jagger and Richards in particular (?)), but I can't say that I did in all honesty. I knew they produced as the Glimmer Twins, but why then, do only a couple of their composer credits appear under this name, and the majority of others on the same record appear as Jagger and Richards? (would this have been for "tax" reasons ? :)

Magic Marmalade 12th Jun 2016		12" Single Kylie Minogue - I Should Be So Lucky (1987)	Review Inspired by Shakespeare's: Hamlet... Ms Kylie Mini-gogue here regales us with the inner turmoil and frustration of the Erstwhile Hamlet's unrequited love Ophelia. Indeed, contrary to the prevarications and legendary ambivalence which thwarts the object of her affection (Titular Mr Sir Denmark Esquire)... in her imagination, there is no complication... ... they walk together hand in hand. A palpable sense of outwardly unspoken beseeching and urgency propels the music of the opening verses as Kylie/Ophelia makes her case to the dithering Dane... "I'm Dreaming" Says she. "You fell in love with me.... like I'm in Love with you" To Quoth. ...Until, at last, her consternation doth conclude thus: "But dreaming's all I do..." Prefiguring the approaching choral alleviation of her now growing unheeded obsession... - yet - "... If only they'd come true!" Before interjecting an unexpected dose of perspective: "I should be so lucky!" Stoic. "Lucky..." Less so. "Lucky....." We begin to doubt her "Stoicism" "Lucky........" This is beginning to get awkward now. "...I should be so lucky in love!" Yikes. Verily. We then return to the mire of obsessiveness and dark sticky goo building in Kylie's soul (Sat switching light on and off.... thy bunny in the pot, etc.) An unsettling impression which the several repetitions of this formula of alternating Obsession and apparent, if temporary, stoicism does nothing to dispel. Hamlet too is back and forth, back and forth (moody sod), as OpheKyllie watches on... maybe they are not so different after all. eh?!! Cast yerself in the river if I'm wrong! A masterpiece. That we should see the like of this pop-tastic interpretation of a timeless literary classic again, is less certain.... Magic Marmalade 27th May 2016		12" Single Richard Harvey - The Theme From Terrahawks (1983)	Ok.... so I have no business owning this really, except for reasons of pure nostalgia. ...But I admit there was a moment of gentle body-popping when I found this in the charity shop yesterday - such was my delight - And when I saw the poster was in it, that pretty much clinched it for me!

Great work adding them all by the way... a valuable addition to the site. (You'll get used to the catalogue number entering norms as you go)
