(Sounds a little different to the 7"... Impact wise. I think I prefer that one)

Magic Marmalade 6th Oct 2015 | | 12" SingleNearly God - Poems (Full Length) (1996) | Remaining scans added.
Just noticed there is one small piece of text at the top centre of the back cover:
"12DP003 DJ For Promo Use Only Not For Resale"

Magic Marmalade 27th Sep 2015 | | 12" SinglePhil Collins - Don't Let Him Steal Your Heart Away (1983) | Jeepers, that cover really screws with yer peepers!
|
Magic Marmalade 27th Sep 2015 | | 12" SingleAutechre - Anti EP (1994) | Well it works!
Flutter plays, and sounds "right" at both 45 and 33 (I recorded both speeds).
What they've done is put it on the disc so that it plays back at very high recording levels at 45rpm, so that when played back at 33, the lowering of the frequency pulls these sounds down to within normal levels.
So at 45 it is really quite loud, but 33 just edges the volume down a bit, which is nice, as the effect of playing at 45 gives it a kind of "Orbital" like feel, but 33 brings it into a nice ambient Boards of Canada space (I know, many will say Boards of Canada emulate Autechre, rather than the other way round, but just wanted to give you an Idea of what it is like).
I prefer the 33 play speed, as it has a kind of electro- church ambience that is very nice for a Sunday morning (Or a hazy Satruday night! :).
(And also makes this very good value for money, as one of the tracks is two for the price of one! I got a good half hour of music out of it altogether)

Magic Marmalade 26th Sep 2015 | | 12" SingleAutechre - Anti EP (1994) | There is more text on the "back" side of the sticker, where the barcode is situated, but unfortunately (Fortunately (?)) the previous owner of mine did not break the seal, but rather, carefully peeled the sticker from the back cover, then very cleanly stuck it back on the inside of the front cover of the sleeve... so the whole thing is intact, but I can't scan it, and I can't really read the small print on that side.
Will report the experience of playing flutter at both speeds after I've recorded it.
(Not bad for a pound in Oxfam.... seems they're still in the dark as to current rarity and values of some more modern or specialist form of music like dance and electronica... as was I, until I got this home... don't worry, I usually let them keep the change when I buy something there anyway, and often leave a quid more if it's something I really want (So I've probably paid twice the value of it anyway over time!)).

Magic Marmalade 2nd Sep 2015 | | 12" SingleLenny Kravitz - Believe (1993) | Will add poster scans some other time... but it is unsurprisingly, just an enlarged version of the front cover/ picture disc image.

Magic Marmalade 31st Aug 2015 | | 12" SinglePet Shop Boys - Domino Dancing (Disco Mix) (1988) | The "insert" is the inner sleeve, which is identical to the back cover shown here, on both sides
(Minus the barcode - and obviously a little smaller, and with a thumb notch at top on the back)
I've seen copies of this around which have the inner sleeve/insert and are described as being "Limited Edition" by virtue of this inclusion...
...and while a lot of 12" singles came without inner sleeves (So it is conceivable), it strikes me as odd that they'd do an inner sleeve as a limited edition component... perhaps a Pet Shop Boys fan could confirm if this is the case or not.
Also, this inner sleeve design is an enlarged version of the 45rpm 7" single release's main sleeve.
(I had to adjust the exposure on the labels to take it down to the actual "grey"/silver tone actually there, as the labels - as with the back cover - have a metallic silver reflective quality)

Magic Marmalade 17th Aug 2015 | | 12" SingleDennis Brown - Money In My Pocket (1978) | Added Labels with red text...
Having spotted the difference in text colour on mine, I checked others on the web, and it seems Joe Gibbs Record Globe liked to use a variety of text colours for he same titles, I saw one with plain black text too, so a few variations will exist.
...And, as you can see by my side two, the blue and yellow elements of the print are applied separately... and not always accurately!

Magic Marmalade 26th May 2015 | | 12" SingleOrchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Julia's Song (Dub Version) (2015) | No need to clench up there Monolith!

Magic Marmalade 26th May 2015 | | 12" SingleOrchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Julia's Song (Dub Version) (2015) | AS the cover itself seems to be saying (whatever it is!)... Oooh!
|
Magic Marmalade 26th May 2015 | | 12" SingleGreen Day - Welcome To Paradise (1994) | Limited Edition Green Vinyl in stickered plastic sleeve (No insert)
|
Magic Marmalade 21st May 2015 | | 12" SingleOrchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Julia's Song (Dub Version) (2015) | I dread to think what that is on the front cover!
...at first I thought it was like the Dianna Ross and the Supremes album, with just the red lipped mouths and microphones (Later alluded to on Stereophonics: Pull the pin album - and probably a host of others!)...
But on closer inspection, I'm not sure... and maybe don't think I want to know.
