mp3petee 8th Nov 2017		12" Single Yaz - Situation (1982)	The original pressing of this single had the duo's name as YAZOO. Because a band in the United States already had the name copyrighted they were forced to shorten it to YAZ. Henceforth all further USA releases carried this abbreviated name.

This version of the single was only on shelves for about a month before it was withdrawn because of a lawsuit. A jazz band in Texas already had the name YAZOO copyrighted in the USA. Henceforth, all further USA releases by the duo were under the name YAZ.
