musicmasters 22nd Sep 2021		12" Single Paul Hardcastle - 19 (The Final Story) (1985)	this one is very very rare, as this is the original track listing, but was withdrawn I've never seen one of these, at the time there were a load of copyright issues with Paul Hardcastle stuff, one of his other earlier singles was also withdrawn after being on sale for quite a while - I can't remember which one though
musicmasters 22nd Sep 2021		12" Single Duffo - Gonna Send The Boys Around (1985)	my copy says "Printed In France by SNA" on the reverse of the sleeve the inner sleeve has the copyright details in French A side has "Play it again Warren" in the runout groove. Basically half of Ultravox playing on this obscure single from 1985 I'd not heard of this until I found a copy recently

musicmasters 22nd Sep 2021		12" Single Erasure - Blue Savannah 30th Anniversary Edition (2020)	anonymous "Made in the EU" written on labels and sleeve - definitely a UK cat. number, with only UK address on the sleeve are the pressing plants so ashamed of their country name that they have to hide behind "EU" - such a shame
musicmasters 22nd Sep 2021		12" Single Roy Orbison - Oh, Pretty Woman (Live) (1989)	my copy is a white label promo, with a plain black die cut sleeve - the white rectangular sticker just says "Roy Orbison "Oh Pretty Woman" VST 1224" - no clues to the tracks, but it appears to be identical to this entry in all other ways - 1 track on A side, and split in the grooves indicates 2 tracks there

musicmasters 22nd Sep 2021		12" Single Colonel Abrams - Trapped (Extended Version) (1985)	B side track listing is misleading on the rear sleeve of this issue - on first appearance, it looks like there's only 1 track there, but there's definitely 2 on the B side - very hard to read on the sleeve though - same problem occurs on MCAT997 both 12" versions have 3 tracks each
musicmasters 22nd Sep 2021		12" Single Colonel Abrams - Trapped (1985)	this one has the grey rear sleeve - noting that the track listing is unclear, it appears to be a 2 track issue, but actually has 1 track on the A side, and 2 tracks on the B side - listed underneath the title rather misleadingly as (dub, a cappella) - it's definitely 2 separate tracks as clearly shown on the B side label

musicmasters 21st Sep 2021		12" Single Heaven 17 - ..(And That's No Lie) Re-mixed To Enhance Its Danceability (1985)	My copy has "Number 2 in a series of 5" on the back of the sleeve, and has the same tracks as listed above ... I may have other copies, so will add info. as and when I find them I'm not sure what the variations are, but I'm guessing that Nos. 1 to 4 have the standard track listing, and No. 5 in the series is the one with the Megamix on the B side

musicmasters 20th Sep 2021		12" Single Frankie Goes To Hollywood - The Power Of Love (1984)	My copy came with a rectangular sticker with a a rectangular dark blue (almost black) box, with the text (in white) "FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD 12 ZTAS 5" on the front cover of the outer envelope - placed in the top right corner (the sticker is laid in in 3 lines - the middle line is a white heart shape) will post scans sometime
musicmasters 20th Sep 2021		12" Single Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax (Long Version) (1983)	the "Giant 45" labels do belong here - they are basically a label variation, nothing more If it helps - here's the matrix nos. from the "Giant 45" version (which comes in a die cut red/yellow/white/blue company sleeve, the copyright date on the sleeve is 1984, so at the very least it's a reissue. A; ST - DM - 45796 - 5 B: ST - DM - 45797 - 457980 - 6 both matrix nos. are hand written, both sides have "STERLING" stamped into the runout groove too The track timings are the same for this, and the other two label variants, it's just that the titles for the B side mixes have been omitted. None of the actual labels mention the version anyway
musicmasters 20th Sep 2021		12" Single Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax (Sex Mix) (1984)	Matrix number is stamped on the A side run out - the word "Graeme" is handwritten The B side has the Matrix number twice - one is stamped, the other is hand written The hand written one - 12 -IS - ZTAS - 1 - B5 Stamped one: - 12 ZTAS 1 B - 3U - 1 - 4 1 STERLING Note, the 1 following the 4 on the B side is rotated 90 degrees clockwise I was working in a shop when all these variations came out, at the time we knew they were different, bit with them all having the same cat. no., there was no way of knowing what you'd get when you put in an order for them from the supplier Years later, it's still a bit of a minefield knowing which is which, but the Matrix numbers appear to be the only sure way to identify them. A similar situation occurs for the Art Of Noise 12" singles ..... ZTT were basically a bunch of jokers having a laugh at the expense of the record buyers

musicmasters 14th Sep 2021		12" Single Black Legend - You See The Trouble With Me (We'll Be In Trouble Extended Mix) (2000)	this 12" was heavily imported into the UK, and appears to be the official release of RISE 061, which has no credits or correct title for the single, just the names of the mixes used which appear to be the ones used here HMV in the UK were charging £7.99 for this .... then when given an official UK release it made number 1 in the charts

musicmasters 14th Sep 2021		12" Single Kraftwerk - Tour De France (Long Version) (1983)	looks like someone's found a "Breakdance" remix version - although like mine it doesn't have a pic sleeve, nor does it mention it on the labels The "Breakdance" remix version says "Remixed by Francois Kevorkian" .... and they have either yellow labels like the linked entry, or black labels, like my copy I'm glad the 1984 version finally has its own entry as when you play it, the difference is very clear
