Copies of this single can be picked up for buttons. This single is valued at least 500% over the odds. I'd be keen to know if this has ever sold at the price we have it listed as. Hmmm... what'd I do with them rose tinted glasses.

The version here is unique to this 12". I've since heard the 7" version which is a clumsy edit of this. Why they needed to edit it for the 7" I don't know as this 12" "Full Version" runs for just over 4 minutes.
From what I recall the version on the, "Systems of Romance" LP is a different recording to this.

I shall be playing my copy today to test this theory about skipping - although my deck rarely skips/jumps

So we know there are at least 2 surviving :D - mine was bought in 1985 at a record fair for £3, along with Slow Motion for the same price.
I wasn't buying many records in 1978 as I couldn't afford them

Update: played both sides all the way through, no skips or jumps whatsoever.
Minimal static/crackle, no scratches either - so sounds fantastic still - not bad for a 38 year old white vinyl single

I took care to set my turntable up properly - tone arms perfectly balanced and anti-skate set correctly
It really pays off to do it properly

Many of the cheaper record players struggle to play the B-side without skipping. Serves as a good tracking test.

Purchased my copy in December 1978 from Virgin Marble Arch. Never seen another.
