there's even more than I knew about, so I'll have to keep looking, the copy I found in Jul 2014 certainly matched this particular track listing.
This particular issue can also have the following Matrix numbers:
12 ZTPS 01 A-4U-1-2- (A Side)
12 ZTP S 01 B-5U-1-1 (B Side)
So it had at least 2 A side mastering plates.
I also bought an original copy in Nov 84 when first released, but as yet, haven't found the box with it in, this box also has at least one, maybe 2 12" promos, which are white label copies that have the track details stamped on - one is quite possibly another 12 ZTPS 01 variant.
All date from around Nov-Dec 84, although the track didn't really take off in the charts until 1985 ... a bit of a slow burner.
Apologies for the long delay in responding..... Yes, this is all more confusing than I originally thought!
I agree with you and I think these scans should be shown as a separate entry. I've now done that so we can remove the two (yellow label) scans from this entry. I also have the white label copy you mention which looks to also be a completely different pressing so I'll upload that as well. Maybe some other readers can shed light as regards release dates etc.?
are you sure that the plain label copies belong here - they are likely to be completely different to this main issue - the cat. no. is different being 12 ZTPS 1, whereas this entry is for 12 ZTPS 01
If it helps my standard copy has the matrix numbers 12 ZTPS 01 A-4U-1-1- on the A side, with this on the B side: 12 ZTP S 01 B-5U-1-1-
The problem with ZTT releases from this time is that there are many very similar pressings with the same cat. numbers, yet they have different track listings.
I've also got a white label promo of this somewhere, when I come across it again, I'll post the details, well what I can find, as it's similar to the yellow label one.
