 SHINE entered the UK's monthly Top 200 best sellers vinyl singles chart in August 1979 and peaked at number 107 with 2 showings on the monthly chart. Nils perhaps has Swedish roots. Had he been based in Sweden his surname would possibly have read thus: Löfgren.

 Presumably, A&M were hoping to cash in on Nils Lofgren's only UK Top 75 singles chart entry a few months earlier in May 1985. That song was "Secrets In The Street" from the album Flip which was released in the UK on his new record label Towerbell.
