 Yes, fair comment. I often quote the example of the Stereophonics - I thought (and still think) their first two albums were superb - really electric and full of energy; but after that they just churned out weak, indie-rock-by-numbers stuff that just sounded lazy (with a couple of exceptions - I quite liked "Mr Writer" and "Dakota"). Who knows the reason, but it does seem to happen a lot. Perhaps they just know deep down that they don't need to try as hard; anything will do. Just my opinion of course!

 Hi nboldock, isn't that a familiar pattern for a lot of great bands? Do they really lose their "hunger" or is it industry pressure to churn out units? I personally would still listen to KOL at their worst to a lot of other stuff around.
I wish that they had released this on 7" though.

 Hard to believe that a band that could produce something as sumptuous as "Molly's Chambers" could end up producing the turgid, over-produced stadium tripe they now do, but happen it did...
