 "Night Life" was "disco-eye-qued" (I think that it is how it was spelt) with gaps in the spacing of the groove (termed "spirals" on the label) similar to that found on L.P. records. The idea of this was so that DJs could easily zoom into the different parts of the record, e.g. a specific instrumental break, as these "spirals" matched changes in the song itself.
I don't think the idea was very successful as it wasn't picked up on by other record companies.
