 "A UK Number One that the B-Side was the track Chosen by The Public".

.....don't forget the importers, like me, who pushed the Side B "Use It Up And Wear It Out" on the US 12" (RCA PD-11963) to the shops and DJs, and then it took off............very satisfying.

Jon Vine, a DJ who ran Impulse Records at Tunbridge Wells was onto that track very early, as I recall, June 1980, when it had just been released in US, and I had it as a new release in UK, to punt around.

The UK copy on this page was the first UK issue, which replicated the US issue with "Don't Tell Me, Tell Her" as the A Side.
It was subsequently reissued in UK with the A Side titles flipped, still using the same catalogue number PC 1962, while the US 12" never reverted titles on PD-11963, except for a 12" promo featuring "Use It Up And Wear It Out" as the A Side, RCA JD-11963.
