I used to own this record, but sold it for £122.00p sterling on Ebay 20-Jan-2013, start price £100, and had two bids......it went to a seller in the North of England, who was absolutely delighted with his purchase.....I was also pleased, as I had received it as a freebie back in 1978/1979, so it was clear profit.
I only ever played it once, and to quote a saying of DJ Chris Hill, who I knew and did business with back in the day......it was "dogsh*t", that's my interpretation of the record, not his.
My sale is listed on Popsike, with details
"Supplied to me in 1978 as a free sample from Record Company, played only once.", since then it has achieved the following prices.....US copies unless stated.
So it looks like my copy was the first to be sold, and a record made of the sale on Popsike. Of course there must have been other sales over the years, but it would probably take a lot of searching to find the details of any other individual sales.
....not a great scan, but will suffice until I can get another scanner.
Runout information, hand etched. A comma after the information signifies that the etchings appear at different parts of the run out, i.e. 6 o'clock, 5 o'clock, 2 o'clock,
Side A: SRI 310 A-1, Al Brown, SCI FLA, Side B: SRI 310 B-1, Al Brown, SCI FLA,
Just to confuse everybody, where "SCI FLA," appears, it actually has a comma etched into the vinyl, and is the last of 3 seperated etchings on each side of the disc.
Nothing at all to do with Phil Spector, but one Michael J. Spector, who also ran MJS rack jobbers, out of Miami, FL., a competitor of Tone Distributors, Henry Stone's outfit.
Mr. Spector also was President of The Plaza Bank of Miami, and presented me with his card, when I met him in London. The pleasure was all mine.........NOT.
