[Rejuvenated] Dark Horse Records Physical ReleasesGeorge Harrison founded Dark Horse Records in 1974. The label released 12 albums by various artists between 1974 and 1977, and thereafter the label was only used for releases by George Harrison until the late 1980s.After a ten-year period of inactivity, the label returned in 2002 with the posthumous release of Harrison's final studio album, Brainwashed, followed by his Dark Horse Years box set in 2004. Dark Horse Records also issued the Shankar–Harrison compilation box set Collaborations in 2010. In 2017 Umlaut Corporation (George Harrison's publishing company, formerly Ganga Publishing in the US and Oops Publishing in the UK, and now controlled by the composer's widow, Olivia Harrison) licensed to Craft Recordings, a division of Concord Music Group, Inc., a new Attitudes compilation Ain't Love Enough: The Best Of Attitudes, for digital release only. The album featured a selection of tracks from the group's two albums released on Dark Horse, 1976's Attitudes and 1977's Good News. In August 2018 Umlaut Corporation licensed the album to BMG Rights Management (US) LLC for digital release only. In 2019 the Tom Petty Estate licensed to Dark Horse Records / BMG Rights Management (US) LLC, Tom's 2000-recorded song For Real, which was rerecorded by Willie Nelson, Lukas Nelson, Micah Nelson, Jakob Dylan, Dhani Harrison & Amos Lee and released on 20 December 2019 on digital platforms only. In January 2020 it was announced that BMG had formed a global partnership with [a rejuvenated] Dark Horse Records, now led by George's son, Dhani Harrison, and manager David Zonshine. The rejuvenated company's first physical release came in August 2020 and was Ravi Shankar's Chants Of India. The inspiration for the Dark Horse Records logo came from a label on a tin that George Harrison found during a trip to India.. The logo features the seven-headed horse Uchchaisravas, a common figure in Indian art and myth.List of 55 Items by JPGR&B Sort by : Latest Added : First Added : Item Date Page 2 of 2 : Previous : Next :
