7226power 30th Oct 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumBob Wills And Tommy Duncan With The Texas Playboys - Mr. Words & Mr. Music | Inner sleeve on my copy has ads for mid 70's releases which indicates this record was still on catalogue and available throughout the mid to late 60's right up til the mid to late 70's.

7226power 29th Oct 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Shadows - Rockin' With Curly Leads | The copy I found today has Made in France by
Pathé Marconi labels but the gatefold cover is manufactured in the U.K.

7226power 26th Oct 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Searchers - Needles And Pins | Just added this budget re-issue of the Second Take lp, but mods need to look at the RCA International and RCA International (Camden) discographies. They are both the same label! I've added this one to RCA International (Camden) for now but both labels need to be joined. Personally I would suggest RCA International (Camden) but I'll leave it for the mods to decide.

7226power 4th Oct 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumTony Stevens, June Lesley, Jim Sullivan, Jud Proctor, Eric Ford, Arthur Greenslade, Andy White - Top Ten Tunes | Just gave this a first time spin.
Weak covers of 'A Hard Day's Night' and 'House Of The Rising Sun' despite competent professional session men. It shows how brilliant the original EMI production of both tracks were. The arrangement by Price and vocal dynamic by Burdon on 'House Of The Rising Sun' is phenomenal.
'Hold Me' is not a bad attempt though lacks the vocal prowess of Proby.

7226power 19th Sep 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Kinks - Kinda Kinks | Excellent 2nd long player. The only negative is the poor choice of including a weak cover of Dancing In The Street. Better long players were to follow but all in all a very enjoyable effort from the boys.

7226power 17th Nov 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe First Modern Piano Quartet - A Gallery Of Gershwin | 1958 on labels is possibly the original U.S. release year. The cat. no. puts this lp as a 1959 release.

7226power 21st Oct 2021 | | 12" SingleChumbawamba - Tubthumping (MAWR Mix Pablo/Lawrie) | Looks better now The Judge. Atleast it's seperated from the 2 Kathy Barnes on Republic.
|
7226power 20th Oct 2021 | | 12" SingleChumbawamba - Tubthumping (MAWR Mix Pablo/Lawrie) | Shouldn't the label be Universal / Republic with Universal as the main label link? At present the Republic label here is the same one as Kathy Barnes late 70's 12 inch releases which is definitely not the same label. If this has to stay Republic as a label I would suggest Republic [90's]. A mod correction suggestion already sent.

7226power 1st Aug 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumRay Charles - Spotlight On Ray Charles | Record imported from U.S.A is printed at the bottom left corner on the fold over flap on the back of the sleeve. So far other releases have Made in England printed on the bottom left corner on the fold over flap on the back of the sleeve. This is supposed to be a U.K. pressed label so unless anyone knows something about this one I've added as a U.K. release for now as the cat. no. fits in for the U.K.

7226power 17th May 2021 | | CinemaManchester By The Sea (2017) | Wonderful movie. Very sad and very raw. It is pleasantly paced as it reveals the grief that Afflecks character is going through. An immense performance and worthy of the golden statue. Fully recommended for those who prefer strong character portrayals.
