Stackridge - BBC Radio 1 Live In Concert
Dora The Female Explora is not a Windsong typo but the original intended spelling for the song, and it was written this way on the session sheet for the 1975 show. Which is odd, four years after 'Explorer' had become the accepted rendering of the final word.

Stackridge - Mr. Mick
And Chris has a Mr Mick sleeveless pullover, just like the one on the cover, although he'll kill me for revealing that!

Sadly, we are both a lot nearer Mr Mick's age than we were in 1976, too.

Stackridge - Do The Stanley
Said unreleased song, Let There Be Lids, is a different version from that originally positioned on the B side of the withdrawn single. That, along with a studio cut of The Lyder Loo and various other pieces, still remains unissued and is unlikely to evrr see light of day now, even on a bootleg. The gig recorded at The Court Theatre, Liverpool and intended fir a 'live' album release in the Mr Mick era is another lost treasure.

Stackridge - Radio Sessions 1971-1973
And in a CD issue that pre-dated even the Strange Fruit release, on BBC/Windsong.

And, typically, none of the band can remember which member first had the idea of collaborating with Augarde. Each member reckons it was another, only for that person to claim it was somebody else. Rather like the story behind trying to ascertain the true writer(s) of The Lyder Loo!

Fair enough. Thanks for clarification.

Stackridge - The Original Mr Mick
With then- Manager Jennie Evans' own parents on the front and some of Jennie's own childhood toys on back cover.

The so-called Rocket Records original version on the later 2 CD Angel Air reissue is, in fact, not quite that, as it differs in a few very minor places so, pedants be aware, that it ain't exactly what it purports to be.

Two different 4 song promo CDs with different mixes were also circulated "in the biz". I will add them both one day (honest).

Stackridge - Mr. Mick
There have been four slightly differing CD issues of this concept album, all with additional songs or extended/new linking passages, edits, rearranged song order and more. A thoroughly detailed examination of all LP and CD variants was to be found in my Rhubarbarian 'Mr Mick' Special (issue #13, March 2002).

Presumably a single sleeve, not a gatefold, in States, Droid?

It was a fold-down poster, Hawks, and yes, it was included with first pressings on the album. It actually references material that never appeared on Peg or its earlier Pegasus incarnation. (The obverse of the poster insert is completely blank).

Donovan - Donovan's Greatest Hits
Not quite finally. Lalena wasn't issued as a UK single, either. As with WYLLH and ETD, Pye allocated a number but nothing ultimately ensued.

Donovan - Donovan's Greatest Hits
Finally, Season Of The Witch never saw 'single duty' either in Britain or America, making this original configuration of Donovan 's Greatest Hits a very odd and misleading item indeed!

Wear Your Love Like Heaven was another USA single scheduled for issue on Pye - and again given a 7N 17xxx number but it too was cancelled at the last minute.

Donovan - Donovan's Greatest Hits
In addition, further confusion was caused with UK buyers as EpistleTo Dippy was never even released in Britain (scheduled and assigned a catalogue number but pulled at the last minute), let alone a hit, unlike in the States, of course.

B3 Colours is also a new recording. Although not advertised as such anywhere on the labels or album cover, these 1969 Mickie Most produced cuts were a result of the legal imbroglio preventing the use of the pre-Most Peter Eden & Geoff Stephens material. CTW and C were stil licensed to Eden-Stephens' own Iver Productions. Iver had franchised these and the other 28 recordings that pre-dated Most taking over production duties to Pye in Britain and Hickory in America. These agreements were still in place when this album was released, thus necessitating new versions. It was still sharp practice from Epic, not to advertise this fact! Nowadays, it'd undergo the usual spin, being blurted out from a cover sticker or some such, as "with brand new recordings of Catch The Wind and Colours".

Wayne Nutt - Oil Field Man
Weirdly enough, having just read about the horrible Mr. Nutt in Allen Jones' 'Can't Stand Up For Falling Down' rock 'n' roll memoirs, I came across a copy of these album today.

I didn't buy it.

12" Single
Berni Flint - Beautiful Loser
Not a picture disc but a 12" release with a massive 8 1/2" picture label each side. Certainly the only such label I've ever seen and way too big to get all of it in my scanner.

The Beyond Vs. Jim Thirlwell - Empire (Radiation Cocktail Mix)
Note label error - with both sides having songs attributed to 'Other Side'.

Card Harvest sleeve also has 'HARVEST 1' in bottom corner.

The Caroleers - O Little Town Of Bethlehem / Silent Night
Given that all the Peter Pan 7" 78s seem to have X-15 on the labels, I'd suggest the true catalogue numbers are in the run-out area, which is where I found the info for this disc.
