Amshumarthen 4th Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Baby Washington - With You In Mind	There is also definitely a stereo pressing of this (ULPS 1217). Just in case anyone was unsure! Actually a much more enjoyable LP than I thought, I bought it for 'Get A Hold Of Yourself' but found much else to like.

Amshumarthen 3rd Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Witch - Witch	My copy lacks a cover, but a banner on the cover means this album is sometimes referred to as 'Including "Janet"', presumably off the success of this single. No such title is on the label, which simply says 'Witch'.
Amshumarthen 3rd Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Mahmoud Ahmed - Ere Mela Mela	The original Ethiopian issue of the album in 1975. The Belgian release is ostensibly a re-issue (hence I have linked them), but re-orders the tracks and replaces two of them with songs from Mahmoud's 1978 LP 'Jeguol Naw Betwa'. Neither copy I had came with a cover, but presumably the Romanisations aren't consistent between them, nor with any subsequent physical or digital issue.
Amshumarthen 3rd Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Fela Anikulapo Kuti And The Africa '70 - Yellow Fever	Although this is a release manufactured in England, there is a Decca Phase 4 pressing that was the one intended for English markets. This pressing was definitely to be sold in Nigeria, with the cover giving a Nigerian Decca address.
Amshumarthen 3rd Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Fela And The Africa 70 - Everything Scatter	Unusual Ghanaian press of one of Fela's mighty classics. Still a great way to hear the full version of 'Who No Know Go Know'. There exist many other issues too.
Amshumarthen 3rd Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Fela Anikulapo Kuti And The Africa '70 - International Thief Thief (I.T.T.)	'Paste-up' refers to the fact that the back cover is made up of a scan of multiple pieces of paper, cut out and arranged. Back cover has lyrics in Pidgin and French.
Amshumarthen 3rd Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Light And Sound Of Mogadishu	A great compilation of [incredibly rare!] 7" singles released on the Light and Sound label in Somalia between 1973-1975. The issues on digital format have more tracks on.

Rennie wrote 'Bill Sutherland' and 'Kenmay House' A2: Will Atkinson wrote 'Sharon Davis' A4: The two composers are in order on the listing A5: F. Barbour wrote 'Haight Ashbury Waltz' B1: J. Lindsay wrote 'Will Atkinson's March' B2: Composers are in order on the listing B4: D. Black wrote 'Bonny Border Burn' B5: Will Atkinson wrote all three tunes B6: S. Skinner wrote both tunes B7: Will Atkinson wrote 'Pippa Sandford', R. Cooper wrote 'Jim Anderson's Delight' The other tunes have no credits, so are either traditional, or the composer is unknown.
Amshumarthen 2nd Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Julian Cope - The Skellington Chronicles	This album is a 'semi-reissue', with both sides of 1990's Skellington pressed on just the A-side, and thirteen new songs, 'Skellington 2: He's Back... and this time it's personal!' on the B-side. It does interestingly mention a 'Skellington 3D', which took a further 25 years to materialise!
