From the Wiki entry : "Augusto argued that he owned title to the CD copies he sold under three theories. The printed licenses on the promo CDs were invalid The original recipients were allowed to treat the CDs as a gift according to federal law The CDs were abandoned by UMG according to California law If any one of these were upheld by the court, Augusto would win. The court supported both 1 and 2 but rejected 3, and thus ruled that UMG transferred title of the CDs to the original recipients. Therefore Augusto was the owner of the CDs when he sold them and was not violating UMG's rights."

It's counterproductive (as it's the avid collector fans that really lose out as it becomes rarer so they have to pay more), comes over as neanderthally heavy handed in its arbitrariness, and for gods sake you'd think that if someone was interested in a Shakin Stevens track six years after its release then the record company (and Shaky himself) would be jumping around with joy ! Little Hitlerian outlooked men behind desks with no proper knowledge or interest in the love of music itself, who wield their little bit of power at us because they can...come on out ! Show yourselves ! Let's hear why selling a one track Shaky promo over half a decade after its release is going to destroy the music industry !!

Billy Two 15th Dec 2012		CD Single The Flaming Lips - Race For The Prize (Remix)	Just by pure coincidence I just added a Morrissey single that has a big "CD 1" sticker on the front. I'd have to say I'm with Dr.D on this in thinking CD1 / CD2 is the widely used and accepted term. A double cd would be labelled as 2CD - the second of a two part set is CD 2. There doesn't appear to be a CD 1 option on the drop down list yet, though. If we can add something as "CD 2" shouldn't there also be a "CD 1" option ?

To not have a UK charted release under UK would be to imply it's an import, which may be the case in some instances but certainly wouldn't be an all over rule. I do understand that this leads to the same item being entered multiple times under different countries, but I've never seen that as a problem - more a case of getting things exact. Aaaanyhow - just realised that I've been sucked into "this" argument again, when I promised myself never again a year ago. I'm totally happy with whatever any one agrees on this. I don't want no trouble, man.

Billy Two 30th Aug 2014		12" Single Blowpipe - Prop	Despite the hand numbering on some of these sleeves that point towards it being a run of only 25 (my copy is 8/25) there would appear to be many more than that in circulation. There's a seller on Discogs who says he has 26/50, but even if it were only an edition of 50 then there are quite a few in open circulation. I haven't ever seen a finished copy, so maybe there were only white labels made and the full release was cancelled ?

It looks like they did a run of 12" vinyl clocks and applied their own label to one side of the vinyl they used. As a result, their label isn't of any real interest to us. So this should be a Guerrilla Funk release (US) with cat# GF-1007 - have altered accordingly.

Billy Two 25th Oct 2013		12" Single Ramones - Rockaway Beach	Two people having bought it in the UK could be a coincidence, but it's odd that Discogs lists a Belgian pressing but no UK pressing, and three of the four currently listed on ebay are touted as Belgian (the fourth one doesn't say and has no label picture). This does point towards the Belgian pressing being used for the UK (possibly EU-wide) issue. At the very least a UK pressing would look to be very rare !! I'd be happy to see this left as a Belgian issue, but also have a UK entry with Notes stating that it was commonly available as a Belgian pressing.

Billy Two 6th Aug 2013		12" Single Add N To (X) - Little Black Rocks In The Sun	I was undecided whether to leave Side Two blank or not, as you could argue that this isn't a one-sided record. The B-side groove has been cut so as to run for a good 20 mins, with care taken to include groove "variation", as if you were looking at a cutting of an actual piece of music. The label however is blank, and there's no reference to it having ever been considered "a track", so instead of getting too clever about it I guess it's best to leave it out. Interestingly pointless !

The "Made In France" is common for Anagram/Cherry Red releases at this time, and is in no way an indicator of the actual country of issue - we would consider this a UK release (please check label scans of other "UK" entered issues...). However, if you could give us a scan of the French language inner sleeve then that might help decide if this was in fact also a French/EU issue. Cheers for your input :-) BT
