BSPage 18th May 2021		Vinyl Album O. V. Wright - Here's Another Thing	I remember writing to a British soul magazine in the late 80s after Charlie released "Gone For Good". I think it was Soul Survivor ot Soul Deep, whichever one had the motto "the deeper it goes, the better it feels". I wanted to push for a second volume of O.V. and suggested the title "Here's Another Thing", well because it'd be a second volume and because he used that phrase in a number of his recordings. They published what I wrote and I thought nothing of it. Some time later I was at Wax Trax and saw this LP and thought, man they used my title. I started reading the back and realized that my writing had been used as a basis for the liner notes. At least they gave me credit. And it's a real fine LP.
BSPage 25th Feb 2021		78 RPM The Bayou Boys - Bambalaya / Dinah	I found a copy of this on a 45 (with the "Jambalaya" spelling) on the outskirts of Chicago in the mid 90s. Not really caring for the record, I traded it for a number of red-wax gospel 45s on Peacock. I still have mixed feelings about the trade. Although I did get some things I wanted I found out that at the time there were only 2 known copies of the 45, including the one I traded away. But I don't know if I'd have ever played it again after the first listen, so I guess I'm ahead.
