concaveman 11th Nov 2022 | | BookKenneth Kilby - The Village Cooper | The 10 digit ISBN is taken from the back cover of the book: 0 85263 392 0. I assume this is the correct one.

concaveman 24th Aug 2022 | | CD AlbumArtificial Memory Trace - Synkronika | According to the info on the Bandcamp page for this CD, track 1 should be named Pt. 1 (not just Synkronika). The rest of the CD is Pt. 2, split up in 5 separate tracks.
concaveman 23rd Aug 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - All Star Jazz | According to other versions of this album, e..g. SDLP-153, Si Zentner should be credited as the artist.
concaveman 5th Aug 2021 | | CD AlbumPhil Shöenfelt And Southern Cross - Dead Flowers For Alice | Yes, the submitted cat# is an error (it is the cat# of the Indies Records release of this CD). The correct cat# should be TZ 40014-2.
What should be the correct label is somewhat confusing: ZYX Golden Core has label code LC 30286, while the label code on this release is LC 01855, which is the ZYX sublabel Terra Zone. I’ll leave it to the mods to decide here.

concaveman 10th Jul 2021 | | CD AlbumRhùn - Ïh | Yes, definitely (total time: 41 minutes).
concaveman 7th Jun 2021 | | CD SingleDominique Petitgand - 10 Petites Compositions Familiales | This is a discussion we've had on previous occasions, and I agree that a 3" record with as many tracks as this could fit the definitions of an album. There have also been instances of an "album" being split into two, or even three or four 3" discs, thus gaining an album's length of music or even more. However, since the CD singles category is the only place where one can enter 3-inches, this is where these would have to go.
But hey, wait a minute, there is something here which defies my sense of logic. Why then, should vinyl singles be defined by their format, but CD singles by their length or number of tracks? Shouldn't this random example from 45cat also be defined as an album using the same criteria? Furthermore, the Petitgand entry is part of a series (Cinéma Pour L'Oreille), where some of the records may contain only one track, while other has several short tracks. What could be gained by putting 2 CDs in the same series in two different categories?
My suggestion would be to leave the 3" singles where they are and adjust the option of adding more tracks than eight.

concaveman 7th Jun 2021 | | CD SingleDominique Petitgand - 10 Petites Compositions Familiales | This will also have to be moved. And this. And this. And this. And this. And this. And this.
concaveman 7th Jun 2021 | | CD SingleDominique Petitgand - 10 Petites Compositions Familiales | Then this entry will also have to be moved, resulting in an in my opinion split-up of this 3" series. Furthermore, 3" is not an option in albums.
concaveman 6th Jun 2021 | | CD SingleDominique Petitgand - 10 Petites Compositions Familiales | A 3-inch CD, clocks in under 20 minutes and categorized as an album? I don’t think so.
concaveman 7th Apr 2021 | | CD AlbumOffthesky - The Soft Parallel | The 5" CD is nearly 60 minutes long, so this release can hardly be regarded as two CD singles.
concaveman 20th Feb 2021 | | CD AlbumRoland Etzin - Scotland Field Recordings 04 | Well spotted, Leonard. The record label has cat# Gr 027 on their web page for this release, which has led me to conclude that Gr 38 is a misprint. Discogs also gives Gr 027 as the correct cat# for this release.
concaveman 17th Feb 2021 | | CD AlbumNew Order - Low-Life | Not quite sure if this entry is the same as this version. According to Discogs, this 1985 issue has the number C38-7413 etched into the runout and has 'Made in Japan' printed on the label, while the 1986 issue should be mastered by Nimbus and is made in the UK.

concaveman 24th Oct 2020 | | CD SingleLost Trail - The Afternoon Vision | @Magic Marmalade...
Yes, I would agree that this is technically an album - but released on separate 3" discs. As 45worlds increases in volume, there will be more entries like this. To me, there is a simple solution to the problem: Make 3" an available format in the CD albums category. This should benefit your mental health - and mine. Since the CD album category is more flexible (i.e. you can add several discs, use SECTIONBREAK etc.), it would make discs like this much easier to add!
concaveman 14th Oct 2020 | | CD SingleDale Lloyd - Taurion, Trou De Lapin | Although a limited release, this is not a promo. So, since a non-promo CDR does not seem to be an option in the CD singles group, the 3" format would seem to be the best option here. This also matches the other entered 3-inches on the Kaon label.

concaveman 15th Sep 2020 | | BookE. W. Hornung - Raffles | No, there is no subtitle in the 1948 edition.
concaveman 5th Jun 2020 | | CD SingleJean-Marc Duchenne - Feuillets D'Album (Le Narratif Et Le Plastique: 2ème Volet) | A 3" record can clock in to a little above 20 minutes, if utilized to its fullest. And if the tracks are short, like in this case (longest track: 3.25, shortest track: 1.14), there is room for at least 11 tracks. A 20-minute CD with this many tracks could naturally be referred to as a mini-album, but since the 'CD singles' category is the only place where 3" records are an option, they must end up here. And speaking of convential definitions, double CD singles (of which I have a few) is still not an option this category.
This CD contains short electronic pieces in the musique concrete genre.

concaveman 1st Jun 2020 | | CD SingleDog Hallucination - Serving Two Masters | First of all, the CD contains separate tracks. The cover (image #2277459) seems to list the track names as they are entered here. The track listing is also entered in this way by e.g. Discogs.

concaveman 3rd Apr 2019 | | 78 RPMArt Hickman's Orchestra - My Baby's Arms / On The Streets Of Cairo | Then I must stand corrected as to the release date. However, the July 15, 1920 issue of Talking Machine World lists A2811 among the advance releases for August 1920. And the same goes for A2812.
