dezwarteschijf 1st Feb 2016		Vinyl Album Bee Gees - Best Of Bee Gees	To my own opinion these tracks are great but WHY did they had to make the recordings stereo. All tracks are becoming to sound so thin electronically reprosessed that with my headphone on it really become to sound that awful I stopped playing the record after a few songs. Shame because it's a great compilation of hits (besides Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You) .. that could have well been replaced with "Tomorrow Tomorrow" to my opinion. Maybe it's my 1973 RSO repro that sounds so awful ?

dezwarteschijf 3rd Jan 2015		Vinyl Album André Kostelanetz And His Orchestra - Music Of George Gershwin	Another thing was the Non-breakable part of these 10-inch albums .. they were sure unbreakable as they were printed on very thick vinyl and weighted as much as 2 modern 12-inch albums. The sound quality was not that good as it produced a lot of hiss because of the way the groove was printed (minigroove) .. 2/3 music .. 1/3 dead wax.

My wife still believes I'm crazy talking about it lol.
dezwarteschijf 31st Dec 2014		Vinyl Album Uriah Heep - Look At Yourself	Although the front sleeve seemed dark in the inner part of the sleeve it was actually made from tin foil so you could indeed "Look At Yourself" holding the picture sleeve in front of you. This is my favorite Heep album, and an album that was way ahead of its time.

dezwarteschijf 7th Dec 2014		78 RPM De Kilima's - Hilo Marsch / My Boerennooi	The reason this record sounds really worse. After WWII there was little to non material to produce enough shellac records in The Netherlands so company's decided to use recycled 78's for producing new shellac records. The main company's that used recycled material were, Decca, Kristal, Panachord, Imperial. People who bought a new record after the early years of WWII could handed in 2 used shellac records and buy a new one for a reduced price, the used shellac records were then used to make other new shellacs, this was done till around 1951, 1952. In those early past war years it was very common that records sounded that bad with a lot of hiss, clicks and even some label material could be found in the newly produced shellacs. I could have done a lot of hiss reduction but that would destroy the music overall so I decided to leave it as the way it was to my ears.
