Focus B 21st May 2022		Vinyl Album Benny Hill - Benny Hill Sings (?)	Review Benny Hill Sings? Yes he does and very well at that. He also wrote his own material. With top arrangement by Tony Hatch, it's a must for fans of humorous records and the work of Hatch. I like both, so it's a match made in heaven for me. The mono mix is also far better. My only gripe is the lack of credit for the female co vocalist on a couple of songs. Really is a fine album from start to finish. 3 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
Focus B 21st May 2022		Vinyl Album Yes - Going For The One	Got a very cheap copy in a nice condition. Unfortunately, it's missing its inner sleeve. It looks like a later issue with an A5 handwritten matrix, so possible it wasn't included in later pressings.
Focus B 12th May 2022		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Hits Greatest Stiffs	I don't know if my memory is playing tricks on me, but I'm sure there was a Stiff various artists compilation which included The Damned's New Rose, Alberto's Kill from the Sniff Rock EP and Wreckless Eric's Whole Wide World. I thought it was this one or A Bunch Of Stiffs. Obviously not.

Focus B 12th May 2022		Vinyl Album Petula Clark - The Other Man's Grass Is Always Greener	Mystery as to why Pye introduced what's now known as the "Temporary blue label". It only lasted for around 3-4 months before the blue version of the "Top Hat" appeared. One possibility was the winding up of the Picadilly label at the end of '67? Anyone know the reason?

Focus B 9th May 2022		Vinyl Album Benny Hill - Benny Hill Sings Ernie The Fastest Milkman In The West	Must be one of the fastest budget re-issues ever, seeing the original Columbia version was issued only in late 1971. This MFP version is the one I remember, but as an oddity the original Columbia version is more commonly encountered in second hand stalls nowadays.

Focus B 3rd Mar 2022		12" Single Daryll-Ann - I Could Never Love You EP	I picked up a 12" white label demo housed in an incorrect sleeve. Usual black die cut but the sticker on the front is wrong. Clearly not the record I expected it to be, but checking the inner groove matrix confirms the record above. What a pleasant surprise. Never heard of this outfit before, but this is rather good!

I would have thought the barcode at least would have differed had it been a re-issue? Interestingly this 12" is listed as Sony Soho Square on Discogs, but the images show the same rear sleeve, track order and Furtive labels as the copy I've uploaded here!
