George Slv 20th Sep 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumNancy Sinatra - Boots | Friday's Child version from this album.
They always used this version on her hits albums, and this is a big mystery.
On Movin' With Nancy it's the genuine hit single recording.

George Slv 20th Sep 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumNancy Sinatra - Boots | Stereo versions of course.
I always wonder now whether they were made from digital masters.

George Slv 20th Sep 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumClyde McPhatter - Rhythm And Soul | Redpunk, yes why wouldn't you.
My list can be downloaded from the storage too.

George Slv 20th Sep 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumTeresa Brewer - Terrific Teresa Brewer | [YouTube Video]
3 songs
I recently figured out that her Philips releases were mastered about 2% too fast. At least in N America. UK seems okay. Maybe an inaccuracy in their tape machines? So these songs are too fast.
In my current recording I'm adjusting for that.

George Slv 19th Sep 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumClyde McPhatter - Rhythm And Soul | Notice to unsuspecting users: 45worlds is not differentiating the discs in the song listing. A and B are the two sides of disc 1, etc. 5 more discs to describe.
|
George Slv 19th Sep 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumClyde McPhatter And The Drifters - Clyde McPhatter And The Drifters | Some of these are Clyde solo. A1, A3, A4, B1, B2, B7.
The original issue was 1956 but this includes Clyde hits to early 1957.
I see reissues in 1959 and 1963.
|
George Slv 16th Sep 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Diamonds - The Diamonds 1970s | An absolutely ugly album from an early fan's point of view. Three new dudes, or duds, with Mike, mostly interested in the late 60s ugly sound.
Recorded in studio by the way.
I notice there is no copyright notice anywhere on the product.

|
George Slv 12th Sep 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumTeresa Brewer - The Best Of Teresa Brewer | I had this. I've been suspecting it was made from digital masters. I never got satisfaction from the sound. How can that be checked?

Conway Twitty made a hit of What Am I Living For at that time, and Jack's made no dent. Originally by Chuck Willis.

George Slv 9th Aug 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumAl Caiola - Tuff Guitar | Al attempts to rock, and it just sounds like pop-jazz.
The song Tuff Guitar appears to be an original, and has a tough but Europop sound. It was on a single with Hound Dog.
Hear sample Tuff Guitar.

George Slv 7th Aug 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumAl Caiola - T.V. Western Themes | If I can add the 1986 cassette variation of this release - cover scan. This is a collectable album, found in three forms now.
The Canadian release of the Sunset LP was in 1986. That's all I know.
