Bryn Terfel, Malcolm Martineau - The Vagabond
This fine set has received glowing reviews, which I fully endorse. The Gramophone Music Guide says
"There's a boldness about Terfel's art that could be perilous, but which, as exercised here, is marvellously well guided by musicianship, intelligence and the genuine flash of inspiration. Malcolm Martineau's playing is also a delight: his touch is as sure and illuminating as the singer's"

Cappella Mediterranea, Leonardo García Alarcón - Sacrati: La Finta Pazza
La finta pazza ("The Feigned Madwoman") 1641, is said to be the first opera ever performed in France (in 1645). Some of the music bears striking similarities to the score of Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea, prompting scholars to speculate that Sacrati had a part in composing the surviving version of that opera.

W.B. Yeats' poem "The Cloths Of Heaven"

Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

This compendium of Favourite Hymns starts with a resounding Fanfare; while that is not a Hymn you can imagine them setting up for the recording and capturing this organ piece which was then used on the record.

The Knightsbridge Opera Orchestra And Choir - The Beggar's Opera
Pepusch's Beggar's Opera is a satire of the then fashionable Italian operatic style, and influenced British operatic composition for several generations. Pepusch wrote original compositions and made many arrangements of popular folk tunes of the day.
I can find no video from the Knightsbridge Opera recording, but this video will give the flavour of the work by Pepusch and Gay.
