jonnywindows 16th Nov 2015		Live Music The Clash @ Crawley Leisure Centre	hi . I attended this concert. I was sat outside on a sunny day, when a guy came up to me and asked if I wanted to help push the bands gear into the concert. yes please.. anyway took a couple of hours and he gave me and a mate an all areas pass. we didn't even have tickets we were hoping that some one would have them for sale or get one on the door. that's what was great about punk, you could generally just turn up and get in. that night me and chris, my mate. wondered around the the balcony areas at the back. we are from Portsmouth and had never been there before so we had a wonder around. we walked through these double doors up on the 2nd floor if I remember right. left hand side at the rear of the hall looking towards the stage. to the right, through the double doors was another door, I pushed it open to find the clash, jimmy persey and a stack of pills lager in the middle of the room. I stepped backwards and the door closed. we just looked at each other. the door re opened and we were invited in. we were in the room when a guy came in looking for jimmy persey to come to the stage and try to calm things down. his actual words were 'jimmy come and sort your fu##in boys out.' I remember it as if it was yesterday. don't remember talking to anyone, I just sat and drank pills and watched. excellent night. I was wearing tartan bondage trousers from SEX and a red parachute shirt from Boy. I got the shirt signed by everyone in the room, sadly the shirt went walk about. probably by someone who ha no idea what he was wearing. john
