LaurenceD SUBS 14th Sep 2019 | | 78 RPMBetty Furness - Good Advice From Betty Furness About Your New Westinghouse Laundromat / Good Advice From Betty Furness About Your New Westinghouse Laundromat | I would estimate around 1954 based on those numbers

LaurenceD SUBS 12th Sep 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Recorded Entertainment Live At The Whiskey-A-Go-Go | Boy, it seems like a lot of labels were trying to ride the coattails of those Johnny Rivers "Whiskey-A-Go-Go" albums. While there are some great selections on this LP, I can't really recommend it because of the dubbed 'audience' noise and the unnamed announcer yelling in between each song.
Just to be clear, these are the original studio recordings. Well it does say "recorded entertainment"...

LaurenceD SUBS 2nd Sep 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumJudy Carne, Arte Johnson And Cast Of Laugh-In - Laugh-In '69 | Added promo labels, plus a cleaner cover back. I'm looking at edlongus' copy, and it seems bizarre that the previous owner apparently attempted to expunge the "'69" from their copy.

LaurenceD SUBS 31st Aug 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumGeorge Duning - Any Wednesday | Marilyn and Alan Bergman wrote lyrics (and music?) for the title song but the version with vocals is not included in this album. However you can hear those lyrics in the opening credits of the film: [YouTube Video]

LaurenceD SUBS 29th Aug 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - American Musicals: Harold Arlen | Original LP releases for these recordings:
- Bloomer Girl: Decca DA 381, 1944
- House Of Flowers: Columbia Masterworks ML 4969, 1955
- Jamaica: RCA Victor LOC 1036 (1957) and LSO 1036 (1958)

LaurenceD SUBS 19th Aug 2019 | | 78 RPMJohnny Lane - Ten More Miles To Go / Ten More Miles To Go "With Mule Shouts" | This appears to be a private recording. The thin flexible disc, plus the additional hole, suggests that is was probably cut directly on a home recording device.
Both tracks feature Johnny accompanied by a guitar. Quite different from the version of this song released on MGM which includes additional instrumental backing and vocal chorus.

LaurenceD SUBS 27th Jul 2019 | | 78 RPMEverett W. Hall - The Cyclotronist's Nightmare Part 1 / Placement | It does look generic, Bob1951, except that it has an unusual configuration: four sleeve pages, two of the 12" size and two of the 10" size.

LaurenceD SUBS 26th Jul 2019 | | 78 RPMEverett W. Hall - The Cyclotronist's Nightmare Part 1 / Placement | This album may have included an insert; if so I don't possess it. I think that the album might be titled Defendimonium - A "SELECTION OF SONGS" but am not sure.

LaurenceD SUBS 26th May 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumBilly Lee Riley - In Action!!! | The guitar on the cover, mentioned in the notes as a Baldwin Model #550, is better known as a Baldwin Virginian.
Listening to this LP, it sounds like they were really trying to duplicate the Johnny Rivers/Whiskey a' Go Go sound. Even the LP title is the same as one of Rivers' LPs!

LaurenceD SUBS 26th May 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumTerry Gibbs - Mallets A-Plenty | "Soupy's On" dedicated to Soupy Sales. That was also the name of Sales' nighttime talk show in Detroit in the 1950s. Many notable jazz musicians made guest appearances.

LaurenceD SUBS 5th Apr 2019 | | 78 RPMPop Chalee - Taos Round Dance / Taos Clown Song | Pop Chalee is certainly more known for her paintings and murals than for her musical activities, but anyway here she is as a singer.
The Canyon label was founded in 1951; I found a mention of this release in a periodical "Midwest Folklore" ca. 1955, so that's the best I can narrow down the release date so far.
